[quote="steedy"]gully will have to watch there back post as the vale practise this move most if not every training...... they scored 2 against us from the back post... Ivan loves his team to steam through the middle then spred the ball wide for a cross to the back post.... they are very good at it..... however gullys team is younger and faster... maybe not as experienced... hope the gully boys run the vale into the ground..... GO THE GULLY....

BUT REMEMBER TO ALL...................................................................

BACK 2 BACK CHAMPIONS IN DIV 1 ARE :?: :?: :?:

Loved the little report their steedy but honestly why do you have to add the BACK TO BACK CHAMPIONS bit for? We all know that you have done it but the question is can you do it back to back to back like the MIGHTY EAST? :P

Im sorry Brad and all the guys at TTG but from what I watched on Sunday when you played St Peters your side is very young and Inexperienced, The Vale have experience and a smartness about them that will get them over the line. Every time the Vale go forward they look dangerous but when TTG went forward on Sunday they looked OK but far from Dangerous. Im all for 11 each side and anything can happen BUT the Vale to do it quite easily for me. TTG have done really well to get there and stranger things have happened and yes the Vale have let a few more goals in than normal but they have also scored the most (With Gardens) in DIV1.

The Downs were the best side we played all year by a mile and Yes the Vale beat them on Sunday but Matt Blackwood going off wouldnt help, If the Vale beat the Downs then you cant not back them to take the Final by more than 1 goal and no chance off extra time.

There is no malice in this post its just my opinion and Im more than happy to be proven wrong!

GO YOU GULLY

Post by Pilots »

The Gully will absolutely romp it in 3 - 2

and the crowd will be going off..........................as the vale don't appear to have many friends here!

i can understand your thoughts leftrightout. I too watched the vale and they were thoroughly deserved in their win over the downs. they afterall are a strong div 1 side, whilst we are (hopefully) up and coming(maybe next year anyway. I'm sure most of the people that have picked us are either gully faithful or [people who didnt witness the 2 semi's.but to be fair some of these(diegom )e.g have seen us and we have beaten some quality sides to get to the final. our recent form has been excellent so we will be going into this game with confidence.I'm sure the Gully boys will be up for it.

The Gully seemed a little green from what I saw on Sunday. You can't really look at how they performed in the league because Div 1 is a big step up from Div 2.

If they can match the Vale's physical presence they may have a chance. The Gully looked like they had some good quick players who may trouble the Vale, it will be close. I say 3-2 Vale. Nicoles double and Brooksy 1.

The Vale Easily

Post by discoevmrc »

It is quite clear that some people on this folder have no idea about football. The only reason the Gully are in the final is because they were gifted a spot by traveling through without being challenged. The challenge comes on Sunday you soft cocks!!!!! Lets see if you got the ticker!!!! Go the VALE back to back!!! MRC

Post Tel reached the final in 1980 but lost 0-4 to Parafield Gardens.
In 1977 the Vale and West Lakes, both from Division 2 made the finals and the Vale won 2-1.

They also drew 0-0 with the Vale for Cichanowki Shield at the start of 1998.
