Thought the referee at the Knights - Asteras game was good, no excuses complete reversal from week before with Asteras wanting the win more, although very poor finishing from Knights didn't help

Excellent result for the Gully boys today.

Were 3-0 up midway through the second half before East really started to mount some massive pressure. They got it back to 3-1 from a penalty then back to 3-2 from a well worked goal but luckily enough that was it.

Means both A's & B's are through to the next round.

well fought out win for gullies. scored after 2 missed 1 on 1 after 5mins , nicked 1 last touch off first half, scored 3 mins into 2nd half. aitken off the bench at half time changed game for east as they didnt show(or werent allowed) much in first half. last 20 they came at us , got penalty and started to pump it from wide and put us under pump.aitken set up 2nd with not long left which increased stress levels.good defending as ref played 7-8 minutes of extra time which we JUST held on for good result.all played well..

Whats the ruling of Reserves forfeiting?? I thought someone said last round when a few forfeits happened in the Ressies that your first team couldnt play if the Ressies forfeited?? Or was it the other way around? BOSNA ressies forfeited against Gardens but BOSNAs first team played and won?

No, other way round, if your First Team forfeit, then your reserves automatically lose - it's too stop teams stacking their B's

Reserves Cup Round 2 earlier this year - reasonably hot day. we lost 3-1. i raised this point because everybody knows Downs field very strong A's and Reserves teams and playing at Argana is always tougher than on neutral ground..that day we had a mixed strength team and if some of those players were in the game against Bosna we would have been a much stronger side..

1. If your Seniors side forfeits then your Reserves side is ineligible to play.

2. BOSA - not Bosna - forfeited its Reserves game against the Gardens.

3. BOSA was defeated by AV in the Seniors on Saturday. It was not one of the match officials' better games but nontheless, AV took its iopportunities and a good game to watch.

nah mate played resseis last couple of weeks. Not too fussed though to be homest mate. Ressies got a good side aswell and its good to be a winning side. Im sure my time will come again soon but i aint too bothered mate. I do enjoy watching the As games from the sideline sometimes. this week against beach should be a cracker. what did u think of thew vista vs downs game.. u were there werent ya?

yia i went down there after work..

mate its amatures the standard isnt like it use to be but it was a good game to watch, vista didnt look like they were going to hold down...

but the experince that the downs had showed why they are in the 1st division and why they ran away with it in the end.

good game to watch from a neutral supporters side.
