ah ok, never heard of the bloke. sounds like a clown though.
but if its the one im thinking of, he couldnt finish a packet of chips let alone a goal.

real 1 your to kind :)
Like I said.... On their day. if you watch someone in the Amatuers on a bad day they will look Amatuerish. Must have been a bad day though. He's quality and comes from good Radford stock. Dad and uncle good players. Even Granddad was a good ref!

Radford is a bit off par these day, Butler (some would call him Gebra Selesi for the amount running he does at his age) is a better player.

A lot of players picked in that list would have torn teams apart 4 or 5 years ago, most of them have aged and survive on there reputation most of the weeks now ie Reeves, Wilson. Still good players but not top 5 material.

dont know bout young one but his old man was best keeper going round in his time, quality. and old george would outperform any of the amatuer league refs runnin round now. even if he never left the centre circle. but his uncle was def quality

Well it looks like we have about 20 State Team coaches here picking there top 5 on NAMES!! What about picking the top 5 as we stand this year NOW and players who are IN FORM. Not from years ago or who played at a high level years before and lets set criteria.

Lets pick someone who:
Trains and isnt overweight
Plays week in week out for 90 minutes
Who plays a consistent level
Is respected on and off the park

On this form I would say that a clear leader for this criteria would be

Matt Blackwood from the Downs

on that criteria yes matt blackwood would be centre midfield in any state team. trains every night and plays 90 mins every week. and walks off the park as if he has played 120 mins every game. a player that any team would want.

I would have to say Gary Aitken from Easties.

Had to mark him in our cup game for the second half and he might be in his 30's but still a quality player. Set up Easties second goal and is one of the best headers of the ball for his height aswell i think.

Thats a fair top 5 themightyreds.

Thought Aitken from P/H East would be in there somewhere but Im not sure if he's been starting lately? Come off the bench at half time against us in the cup and played extremely well.
