i was thinking about my comments over the weekend and how the game in europe has surpassed leagues and now teams have rivals in different countries rather than their own. So maybe i was wrong, maybe you can really hate liverpool if your follow another italian team and want them to lose.Hammer wrote:i am a juventus supporter.malone wrote:If any italian supporters want milan to win when they arent milan supporters, well thats just ridiculous.
I am a mad AEK supporter and if Olympiakos was in the final, or any other greek club for that matter, i would want them to get pumped. Because i follow AEK, i hate every other club in the league with a passion and will never support them. Your views should be the same if you follow another team in the Serie A, else your just a scum bag, bandwagon supporter.
With all the said, i want Milan to win, FORZA MILAN.
i wanted milan to beat manchester,
and i want milan to beat liverpool.
it won't bring me the joy, that juve winning would bring, but i will be content that the better team won, and the better other serie A teams are, the sweeter it will be when juve knock them off one by one next season.
i don't hate other serie A teams i respect them for the challenge they put to the team i support. thats how i support my team. to me hating other teams is a sign of weakness, and fear.
you said yourself you want milan to win, so does that mean that you're a "scum bag, bandwagon supporter" as you said before?
whether a team is english, italian, greek or whatever they are all rivals.
not a personal attack, just my thoughts on your post.
But I still think if two teams are playing in a final that isn't yours, your preference should be who you want to lose rather than wanting another team to win.
Its not a italian vs england thing, leave that for the international matches. Its a Milan vs Liverpool thing. as a AEK supporter we see ourselves as very passionate and look at the acceptance of hoping another Greek team wins a weakness in our support.
maybe italian supporters are different. But clubs are full of international players these days, and clubs are clubs not nations, they do not reflect your nationality and you should not follow them like you do your national team (that last paragraph is a bit messed up, but you see where i am coming from)
A smart guy on this forum once told me, he cant support Adelaide united, he is a man u supporter and that's what he will stay, he cannot support another team. I think that's what all supporters should be like, that's a true supporter.
I want Milan to win, cause my italian mate wants Milan to win, otherwise i don't have any preferences, except him having his day in the sun.
