Rob Jones, great right back, signed from Crewe from memory, bad knee though,

Man Utd have paid big money for some flops as well, ala Veron.

Great result for LFC, look forward to the atmosphere at Rosemont was awesome 2 years ago, even with the pre-game entertainment with "onthepissagain" throwing punches.

Is he still with us or has he passed on?

Once again did he play for Manchester United or Liverpool?
Seputura, some people on here know you are in now way greek, the only thing you have in common with a greek is a fetish for animals. I follow West Ham and Tottenham in the premier league, from day to day I can not decide if I want to support a rich club with no idea or a filthy jew club.

As for this mornings game what a boring match. the exciting part was the set piece goal and the penalty shoot out.

Can Mourinho ( however you spell it) look like any more of a feral when he holds press confrences? The guy is a pig. He talks in riddles, he is more of a story teller than Zoran Matic and Bob D'Otavi. Good luck next year because I am sick of hearing that THE BETTER TEAM LOST.

I know that most on here don't follow the italian leagues but watch Napoli for the remaining rounds in serie B, the hunger is back. Serie A here we come!!!!!!
I would rather watch paint dry!!

Here's a list of the 10 most expensive transfers in English soccer. As you can see only 2 teams appear in the buyers list (Chelski and Manure). So it's funny how Manure supporters are having a go at Chelski for spending money to buy the trophies. Maybe not a coincidence that they'll finish 1 and 2 in the premiership....!!!

Andriy Shevchenko AC Milan - Chelsea 30.0
Rio Ferdinand Leeds - Man U 29.1
Juan Sebastian Veron Lazio - Man U 28.1
Wayne Rooney Everton - Man U 27.0
Michael Essien Lyon - Chelsea 26.0
Didier Drogba Marseille - Chelsea 24.0
Shaun Wright-Phillips Man City - Chelsea 21.0
Ricardo Carvalho Porto - Chelsea 19.85
Ruud Van Nistelroy PSV- Man U 19.0
Michael Carrick Tottenham - Man U 18.6

i wonder where all these teams would be sitting if they did not have billions of dollars to spend up every year, it shows the in most cases money does buy success.

yeah we admittadly havent taken our chances when they've slipped up, but i still have hope!
i agree with you there that they would be more scared of both of us! theyre the ones that cant slip up under pressure.

good finish to the season. would've been better if a few other teams were up there within range too.

Ok ok..........sorry..............

this is like 'This is your life'
Here go's

Born in LIVERPOOL in 1965
the forumite known as Carra23 spent most of the seventies watching his hero's and looking at Shanks admiringly as he sat on the side of the turf at Melwood, Liverpool's training ground and then ducking under the turnstiles, silk scarf wrapped around his wrist, getting into the boys pen for nothing before joining the BIG BOYS in 'The Kop'.

He gained his 'degree absolute' from the boys pen by starting a roaring rendition of 'LIVERPOOL' clap clap clap during the Barcelona game of 1976, silence sped around the other young lads in the Boys pen as they nodded their approval and he was given absolution from having his bus money taken forcibly from him.......they knew it was only a matter of time......... he was 'Chosen'.

On his arrival in the Spion Kop he immediately took up the spot.....just right of centre...in front of a crush barrier........he would fight to keep right through from the days of standing to the seats.

During his 1st game he had to deal with the new phenomena........ a canal of Guinness fuelled piss running down from the back of the kop (gathering tsunami speed and untold amounts of fresh Guinness piss on its way) and also his first crush.......no not a shiela but a real crush, after a goal he screamed so loud a bloke stood next to him rubbed his head with a big smile and said 'great goal that ay son'
He grew in stature and size, moved on from a milk crate to sitting on the barrier then standing on it catching marathon's and mars bars thrown from the seller at the front supposedly for a hungry man some distance behind carra23.
He also grabbed his 1st sly tit as he developed a new method of meeting women by grabbing them after goals had been scored, his tit count was off the ricter scale through the trophy laden years of the mid 80's.

As soon as he left school he gained his season long pass and many beer tokens to partake in a ritual that lasted until his last and last game.....2005 and the Chelsea Semi Final which was to drink as many
Skol's as humanly possible before forcing his way past mates and new fans from near and far to his usual spot..........just right of centre in 'The Kop'
During these years many precious memories are lost in the fathoms of Skol induced coma's up and down the country, his memories of Curry Pies at Wolves.......bieng hit on the neck by a manky spud in the Kippax.........a ret bastard hot (and I mean surface of the sun hot) meat pie in the Gwladys St, avoiding the thugs on the run to Seven Sisters in London and more importantly in Europe where a new brewski was discovered that would lead to halucinations........and risky encounters with foriegn ladeeeees........and a few quick trips to the local clap doctor's......that beer???............DUVAL!
After the famous victory in 2005 against the rent boys, carra moved to his new country bringing with him his young family and more importantly many memories which are vast becomming folk lore in and around Modbury Vista.
Shall he return for the final???
You never know.
How would the lads cope without his passion and stupid jokes?
How would the lads cope without hearing 'CARRRRRRAAAAAAA' after every replay of Luis Garcia's goal against Juve?
They need his infectious input.
Fin
The young boys said unto him....."go up baldhead, go up"......so he did, rose like a salmon and nodded the ball into the net......1 nil! :-)

Surely you do not think that Liverpool are the best team in Europe? Credit where it is due, Liverpool have developed into an exceptional cup team under Houllier and now Benitez. They play brilliant cup football, as they showed again last night.

But surely a club with such "history, pride and passion" should also be a force domestically? I agree you cannot buy history, pride or passion, but as Chelsea have shown us, you can certainly buy the EPL. Perhaps Liverpool's new American owners should bear that in mind.

Yes Chelsea lost
This sh#t about spending money
How much Have Liverpool Spent in the last 3 years, 1 Euro and1 Fa Cup for a SH$T load of money Not Bad
Man U have spent more then Liverpool in the last 3 years and have won 1 FA and 1 League cup For a SH$T more money.
Chelsea have spent more and maybe its because we have a SH$T load that we have to pay double the price 2 EPL and 2 League Cups
PS HOW MANY EPL HAVE LIVERPOOL WON when was the last time they 1 the old league

All together now...........

"shiraz off Chelsea FC
You have got no history
5 European cups and 18 Leagues
thats what we call history"

Its great to have history but the way your going its going to be a distant memory
Utd went around 25 years between titles i think your lot will go longer

Chelsea have spent a load of money on players
Very hard to buy quaility players under 15 mil pound at the best of times but when you have SH$T loads you end up paying 20 - 25 mil instead of 15 mil
People forget that Liverpool spent money on players back in the 80s didn't play them just so no other club could have them
Also Man U spent loads of money in the 80s didn't win much it wasn't until later they got success with a half brought team and youth. Then they had to spend loads of money to keep them up near the top.
Short Memories
PS HAVEN"T UTD AND LIVERPOOL GOT RICH PR$CKS RUNNING THERE CLUBS>

So because someone agrees with me, then they are in need of a mental health worker. You know it is allowed for people to have a differing opinion to you, you know.

For instance, Maggie Thatcher is the greatest prime minister of my lifetime.

The scousers go on about their history and how you can't buy it. Well that's been proved wrong hasn't it. Two yanks just have bought it.

His dad obviously work for news international then?
The strike was caused by Murdochs Tory backed anti union stance of contracts that offered a 'no-strike clause', an end to the 'closed shop', flexible working and the adoption of new technologies that would have resulted in heavy job losses for the region.

Did you learn this in your wasted tax dodging years at Uni?

The Tories under Thatcher controlled the GLC from 1977 until 1981. The Tory leader of the council was known as Horace "Cuts" Cutler. Cutler and his County Hall hatchet men slashed 5,000 jobs, cut the education budget by £17 million and diverted funding from London's poor inner city areas to rich neighbourhoods.
In the GLC elections of May 1981 nearly a million Londoners voted Labour. The Tories were booted out. The GLC under the leadership of Ken Livingstone set about introducing a number of reforms.

The first was the Fares Fair campaign. The GLC cut bus and tube fares by 25 percent. It was a brilliant success. After 30 years of steady decline, passenger traffic increased by 11 percent on the buses and 7 percent on London Underground. More buses were put on the roads, more trains on the track and London Transport took on 600 extra staff.

The GLC enraged the Tories over other issues. It erected a giant sign on the top of its headquarters in County Hall showing the number of unemployed in London. It was a constant reminder of the Tories' disregard for the unemployed. When the GLC offered £20 million to British Rail to reduce its fares in London, Heseltine, the Tory minister, threatened to cut the government subsidy to British Rail by the same amount.

Thatcher was awesome ay Hawsey?

Lady Thatcher was fantastic.

She smashed the unions that had too much power and were stopping England from going forward as a country. (take note australia)

She led England in war against an invading country, showing that no matter how far away England will protect it's colonies.

As for the GLC and red ken, the same bloke who has tea with terrorists like mugabe, mandella and hussein (and even adams and convicted murdered mcguinness).

The same bloke who brought in the temporary congestion charge and keeps it and doubles the cost. The same bloke who holds a paddy's day parade but won't have a st george's day because it might offend minorities. Don't even get me on that waste of space.

so yes, Thatcher was awesome. The only people who don't agree are left wing loonies.

Anyway, as I have been told not to comment on Ireland as I'm not from there. You are not from London so why are you commenting. AND what's this got to do with sniverpool anyway.
