Enjoying seeing italian football teams crash and burn MIGHT have nothing to do with being anti italian. i own an italian motorbike, my best mate lives in italy, i play for an "italian" club, a lot of my good mates are "italian". I admit it though, I enjoy seeing italian teams not do well, just so all those "italian" mates and "italians" on this board have to start eating some humble pie.

You actually seem like a decent bloke Il Duce and I'll gladly have a beer with you (that's not that great a compliment - I'll drink with most people ) but we do have to constantly listen to "italians" on here saying how great italian football is etc.. So it's nice to be able to keep you quiet for a little bit.

When you see as much shit written about your country as is Italy and Italian football, it gets to the point of ridicolous. Thus, we defend it. You always get the clueless idiots bagging something they have no idea about. It is quite pathetic after a while.

as far as the greatness of Italian football, I like to defend it because there is an unusual amount of people that like to bag it..
but I can admit the shortcomings and accept that, this morning, for example we lost and lost fairly, not to mention my club team is crap.

I wouldnt say we are eating humble pie just yet. We are still World Champions, and have an excellent group of youth coming through, not to mention the upcoming league season is the most anticipated in years.

I hate the English & French football national teams, it does not mean i hate England and France. I think sometimes people get the two mixed up, yes football is the greatest sport in the world, but there are more important things in life... like underground rave parties.
