The Beach Boys - All I Wanna Do
People rate 'The Beatles' as the number one pop/rock group of all time.
Though its warranted, The Beach Boys at around the same time (mid 60s) were more progressive, were challenging the boundries of contemporay/popular music, had better vocals and were just as popular.
Unfortunately the history of the band after that causes many to not rate them, but at their prime Brian Wilson & The Beach Boys were above and beyond anything else.

The Beach Boys - The SMiLE Sessions
Finally released over 40 years after it was originally shelved
BW was a true musical genius. he was doing things back in the mid 60s that modern day "super producers" do now and get labelled as cutting edge
Amazing.

I wonder if it is the same mix they would have had "back then" or whether it is a new mix influenced by what has passed over the years.

im pretty sure its the same mix
they went through all the reels of tapes from those sessions to try get it to sound as close as possible as if it were released back then
a lot of it is snippets (1-2 minutes long) but the music itself is incredible

FOSTER THE PEOPLE
They are going to be HUGE
Check out lyrics to Pumped up kicks - surprising
Great filmclip - also use of microphone sound reminds me of Hey St Peter (Vanda and Young)
Second song also is great.
Might go the BDO for first time just to see them.
