danzo wrote:So what was the TV result? did they bang 10 past Monarchs? MA Hawks were tough opposition this week and played a good match. We (Iggies) have played both now and i think Hawks were the better team.

We (MAHawks) have played most teams except Flinders and Monarchs. Iggies were easily the toughest competition, we couldnt rest all game especially when they had a throw in. Torrens Valley, they scored 2 goals in the first 10 minutes when we were asleep, rest of the game the ball was in our attacking half but just couldnt get the ball in. After the first 2 goals we marked their forwards very hard and they were complaining and losing their temper... Comets ground was too small (as was Iggies) but on our home ground will be a totally different game, it was wet and windy and the player that saved them from at least 3 goals was their Goalkeeper, he was pulling off some saves!!. Unfortunatley Torrens Valley will win this year unless Iggies can beat them as their GD is superior...we will defeat them at their home as we wont be falling asleep.

But dont count out Iggies...if they get over TV and us...wait, they wont get pass me!

What's happened down a FLinders? They were unbeatable at the begining of the season and we (Iggies) were expecting a tough hard fought game. Result 9-0 iggies. not bragging but weren't they really good and title contenders early on? The Top 3 are looking good, Torrens Valley, Hawks and Iggies, but it is looking like TV are the favourites.

I have to admit I was surprised at the result when I read it last night.

Only reason I can think of injuries to the Div 6 side or injuries to their As/Bs and players being dragged up to play those games.

Quite right, we are really struggling with injuries across all teams at the moment, meaning we have had to pull players up from lower grades and are short of players across the board. This weekend pretty much all 6 teams had the basic 11 players available.

In our div 3 squad we have around a dozen players out injured. Most are minor 1-3 week injuries but we have 1 broken ankle, 1 with broken ribs, 2 confirmed needing knee reconstructions and we expect there is a third in that basket which we are waiting to hear on. Same sort of situation in the div 4 and 6 squads.

A week off for all but our div 3 ressies and div 6 due to the cup round this week and hopefully we will come back stronger after that.

That's going to hurt any team. We had that last year as well and just ruins your season. Hopefully your guys have a speedy recovery.

Vipers 1 Monarchs 4.........
If you keep that side on the field token you should do well for the rest of the season....

Definately 3 standouts in my opinion

It does too (then again it said the E's won 6-0 on the opening day when it was 7-0). I was told 0-5, but I'll try and comfirm at a reasonable hour!

And i just logged on to ask thanks Bodo!! MA Hawks results anyone? Iggies 2-0 over Vipers. They were pretty good actually and they will finish much higher, with all of those games in hand they will have a few wins.

Not our best game passing and skill wise but you can't fault the heart...Alot of new to the game players in our side but they are improving every game.

It was a good game with you guys, no dirty stuff just hard fair play....Thanks for the game and will see you at Glenunga.

Well done on the win..

Hawks and Iggies still within striking distance of Torrens, should be a close finish to the end.
