Could be a good match. Torrens Valley beat both by one goal and like Flinders have a 100% record.

After playing against Flinders, the team they have is set up very nicely that would easily play well against higher div teams. Wouldn't be surprised if they challenge for the league come season end.

Flinders suffered their first defeat of the season. Torrens Valley seem to be banging in goals left, right and centre and maintain a 100% record.

Code: Select all

                    P W D L F A Pts
MA HAWKS 6 5 - 1 16 3 15
TORRENS VALLEY 4 4 - - 21 3 12
OLD IGNATIANS 5 3 - 2 17 5 9
ADELAIDE COMETS 4 3 - 1 7 2 9

ADELAIDE VIPERS 3 1 - 2 2 6 3
MOUNT BARKER 5 1 - 4 6 16 3
FC ADELAIDE 5 1 - 4 3 15 3

I don't object to them being there, but kickoffs should be at standard C team kick off times.

So what was the TV result? did they bang 10 past Monarchs? MA Hawks were tough opposition this week and played a good match. We (Iggies) have played both now and i think Hawks were the better team.

Torrens Valley beat them and Hawk Stadium last week. Then again Monarchs conceded five to Mount Barker who inturn conceded seven to torrens Valley.

We (Vipers) have only played 3 matches and Comets were head and shoulders above the other 2 (Hawkes & Mt Barker).

Can't see why they are where they are on the table :?

Reason they request a 3pm kick-off is due to their juniors playing plus it gives a chance to get over our hangovers.

Seven of those were in their opening fixture at Old Ignatians. They also played two more games than you.

My understanding a lot of the C's players from last year moved up into As/Bs leaving FC Adelaide to re-build their C team.

Southern Breakers C's 1 - 3 Mt Barker

One all just after half time. Mount Barker got their second with 12 men on the field, God knows how long it had been like that. I couldn't find the interchange steward to ask him. I was gonna ask the ref if that Mount Barker had to go back to zero.

The referee should count players at the beginning of each half and interchanges should be done at the halfway line with the referee's approval. This is one downside of interchange. With substitutions they are recorded and it would be easy to ascertain which player shouldn't be on the park and caution him appropriately.

surely even in interchange the "subs" are still done when the ball is out of play and with the referees permission.

You would think so, although I have witnessed a referee allowing a substitution whilst the keeper has had the ball in its hands and then allowed him to play it after the substitution. The point KK was making is that is who does the referee book?

as you said normally you would book the "extra" person. You would know who it is because you have been recording the subs as they come on. Someone is on that pitch without permission which is a cautionable offence.

If they are suppose to be I've never seen it happen.

Best way I've seen ref control interchange subs is all substitutions occur on the half way line whether that be coming on or coming off. That way the ref was able to see who comes on and off.
