I can't believe I read that people think arsenal have improved more than Liverpool.
Standard arsenal 4th place finish. Couldn't sustain a title challenge. Lost 6-0 to chelsea, 5-1 to Liverpool and 6-3 to city, 3-0 to Everton and even a loss to united. Sounds like a massive improvement from last season
You guys are good value though. Keep it up!

Come on man, they saw off the challenge of Everton for fourth, give them some credit FFS.

I didn't jump into someone else's conversation with the sole intention of taking the piss out of them. This all started because we were talking football, which is what this site is for. If Derek wants to make himself feel big, he can do so elsewhere.

Again, you're stuck on what is a tiny part of that hilarious post. The bet doesn't exonerate the rest of what you said, hell it's barely even relevant to the rest of it. What does me accepting/rejecting the offer prove? What if it just so happens that I'm not a betting man?

Wind the clock back here boys. Were you not banging on that Liverpools season was better when you won the FA Cup, yet did not qualify for CL?
Arsenal fans (myself included on that/this), saw Arsenals fourth as a reason to celebrate as the sheer monetary value behind this. Albeit trophyless, Liverpool supporters were quite quick to jump on our backs and have a laugh at this...
Looking forward, you guys look likely to finish second, and a huge congrats to you lot, for being worthy of that. (unlucky for Stevie G if anything...) yet trophyless, whereas Arsenal are locked in for fourth (yet again  ) but may, just may, take home a major trophy.

All in all, using some of the Liverpool supporters words, our season is better than yours has been??

The main source of piss taking here is the idea that Arsenal have improved more than Liverpool. FA Cup (in which anything can happen, & you haven't even won yet) aside, how on Earth can anybody even think that, let alone say it to others, with a straight face. It's ridiculous.

The argument here is nothing to do with who has had the best season, or cup v league, anything of that nature. Your mate made a ridiculous comment and seemingly can't see it.

I don't care either way. once again I am somewhat okay with arsenals season (just not our gaffer, time for change). and if I were a pool supporter id be the same. just stating a point that was drummed into us is all...

And I only stated "may" be taking home a trophy. Nobody can predict cup finals as a certainty

I'd be content as an Arsenal supporter too. You're one year closer to being rid of Wenger, & you're in a cup final.

What do you feel big now having my quote as your sig to be-little me??

& again i supported my 'hilarious' post with stats - one we spent longer at the top of the EPL than your mob (big improvement for us, as we are normally way off the the mark by the turn of the year) - two, we had a long string of injuires to key players that damaged our challenge at the important time of the year (again i listed a group of players from the poo, if missing would of ended your run quicker, but again you failed to comment on that) So again i had some substance to support my post. Yet you poo fans are not willing to acknowledge that & can only come back with 'we have more points than last year, so we have improved more' wah wah wah - guess what so do we have more points, so another vaild stat supporting my post

You accepting the bet, indicates to me that you are willing to support your claim that you have improved more than the Gooners & your heading in the right direction quicker than us. By you not accepting it indicated to me you talk is all fluff!

Ergh, this shouldn't need doing.

1) Who cares how long you were at the top? End of the day, you've fallen well short. Not an improvement in your final position.

2) The players you named were: Suarez, Coutinho, Sturridge, Sterling & Skrtel. Suarez missed the first five games of the season through suspension. Coutinho missed a fair chunk through injury. Sterling barely played until about the midway mark of the season. Skrtel was the only centre half we didn't lose through injury all season. We also lost Enrique for majority of the season, Johnson in patches, Lucas, Allen, Gerrard, Sturridge, & just recently Henderson through suspension. In fact, the only first XI players we haven't been without at one point or another this season are Mignolet & Skrtel.

3) If you can't see that a team that has gone from 7th to 2nd (possibly first still) in the space of one season has improved more than a team that's finishing fourth in consecutive seasons, there's no helping you.

LOL these are your stats?

What relevance does time spent at the top mean? How useless.

Apart from collision Injuries, and especially soft tissue, injuries less about luck and more about poor management.
Infact, I rkn I read that Wenger took blame for Ramsey’s thigh strain.

To say that Liverpool would do worse if players were injured isn’t a stat, it’s all opinion.
And you’re a bit narrow minded, Liverpool haven’t exactly had a golden run with injuries either.
Agger, Sakho, Johnson, Sturridge, Coutinho, Lucas, Allen, Gerrard, Enrique (all season) have been out for at least a month this season. Suarez banned first 5 games. Sterling barely played first half.

Most of them were inflicted injuries but it’s no coincidence that we’ve had f*ck all soft tissue injuries. Rodgers let go of Burgess and hired in his own conditioning team and made it known that there’s no point getting players fit for training and putting them through a major session midweek all emphasis is on games. Compare this to a dinosaur (by methods) like Moyes, who after losses makes players do double sessions and runs them to the point of vomiting.

So the injuries excuse is all hot air and well done you might end the trophy drought….

Not sure why all this Liverpool v Arsenal stuff going on. Bottom line, both clubs have under-achieved in recent years. This season, at least there was some light around both clubs campaigns and given the spend (or lack thereof), both punched above their weight.
I think we should be concentrating more on laughing at Man United and their so-called "supporters" who clearly only sing when their winning - hence so much silence form them for the last 8 or 9 months!
But carry on if you must....... :P

See here's part of the myth about United "supporters". Real ones wouldn't dare want to see their cross-city rivals win it for a start. Unless its out of utter fear that one juggernaut is about to end, and another re-emerging?

Fun fact: arsenal have improved more than city this season because arsenal have spent 117 more days than city as league leaders.
