Los del eague is spot on! Sorry but you lot will never get it. I went week in/week out in the (late) 80's early 90's. I saw how the police treated fans (especially away), you lt will never understand that.

North/South - Millwall/liverpool we all take the piss and wind each other up but deep down we know that on that day it could have been us.

If Millwall play liverpool this season the abuse will still be there but in reality the abuse we dish out to (south) yorkshire police will be far greater and more heartfelt. If you weren't there_ you will have no idea.

So we should continually treat all police officers based on how some other police officers treated people over 2 decades ago?

yep
in the same vein as they treat all fans the same
with no respect and little regard for their safety
fuck em
changing statements and lying in order to cover their ineptitude
they are reaping what they sowed
The young boys said unto him....."go up baldhead, go up"......so he did, rose like a salmon and nodded the ball into the net......1 nil! :-)

Until you've been to a football match in England (even better an away game) and see how you get treated then your comments should be treated as irrlevant and useless.

You are the typical foreign supporter, you know fuck all apart from what you've read. Some on here base their comments with the back up of year of following their club home and away. We know what happens at football, we know you are treated as a football fan (and even worse as an away football fan). Get your arse over to London and actually watch the team you have "chosen" to support and you will have a very different opinion.

Knowing you like I do, I think you will actually come back not a west ham supporter when you realise that it's not all a racial harmony, gay loving love fest at uzbekistan park.

@los de League, did you go to the Baseball Ground circa 1984?

It was the time of the miners strike, that was scary!!! The hatred between police and 'common' fans was greater than I ever witnessed anywhere else.

I went there but It would have been late 80's, I'll go with 87, derby v charlton.

Strange ground in that the floor of the stand was below pitch level.

I went to an EPL match this year and it was amazing how many police where there. Huge lines of fluro yellow jackets everywhere and mounted police with the horses wearing riot gear.

The Police ask the FA or who ever does the fixturing to limit the numbers of games in London on a weekend evenly as they don't have the the police numbers to cope.

forest do love that one. Gave someone a smack on that bridge and saved a lone Millwall supporter from going for a swim.
