My only issue here is facts against mediocre sides mean nothing to me, bit like claiming a Carling Cup as a trophy.Yids wrote:I'm pretty sure it was 9 mate :?Chaos wrote:Either or, you are still the minnows of Nth London. 19 years of waiting to beat us says that!!!!
Unless you mean away when it's 17.

It is evident you have not lived in London. No real gooner would say that. In fact, they'd tell you it's the most important fixture of the year.Chaos wrote:My only issue here is facts against mediocre sides mean nothing to me, bit like claiming a Carling Cup as a trophy.Yids wrote:I'm pretty sure it was 9 mate :?Chaos wrote:Either or, you are still the minnows of Nth London. 19 years of waiting to beat us says that!!!!

Re: Tottenham 2011/12
At what stage did I say it wasnt the most important fixture. I simply stated that I tend not to bother with the history between the two clubs as it only makes decent reading for one side. After all the money the clowns at WHL have invested into the club, and to win what..........Yids wrote:It is evident you have not lived in London. No real gooner would say that. Re: Tottenham 2011/12
Sounded like you implied it. And both teams invest large amounts of money, we've had more to show in the last few years, regardless of being carling cup or not.
Re: Tottenham 2011/12
Arsenal have invested barely anything into the squad. We built a stadium :?Yids wrote:Sounded like you implied it. And both teams invest large amounts of money, we've had more to show in the last few years, regardless of being carling cup or not.
Take away, Nasri, Chamakh, Vermaelen, Arshavin, Wiltord and Reyes, (all i can think of that were 10+). Can you name me another purchase of any significance Keep in mind that Wenger has been at the helm since late 90's. Thats ridiculous to say he has invested heavily muppet

Re: Tottenham 2011/12
Didn't you pay a fair bit for Ramsey? I could be wrong. Rosiky? (spelling?) there might be a few more. So we've bought, Van Der Vaart, Modric, Bale, Sandro was 8m I think (there are others). Point being is we have invested in our teams, but to be honest, we have made the improvements. You've sat 3-4 for a while, while we have gone from mid-table to pushing top four. I'll admit, we're behind, but keep going the way we're going and I think you lot are in trouble.Chaos wrote:Arsenal have invested barely anything into the squad. Ramsay was 5 mil, Rosicky was about 6-7. Way behind in spending compared with you guys..
Trouble? By losing Clichy, possibly Nasri and Fabregas...........We will get money for these guys you know.

Re: Tottenham 2011/12
Wenger will buy quality if Nasri is sold. He very rarely drops the ball with his signings, Nasri was bought for just 12 mill, its just a shame he is in his last year otherwise we would have got 30 + mill for him.

More successful in Europe because you've won the 2nd tier competition twice signs of a club happy to be second rate

Re: Tottenham 2011/12
The only thing Spuds have done more than Arsewipes is spend more $$€€ (sorry havent got pound sign).
They dont figure in the 'Big 4' or even 'Big 5'.
Very much under achievers.

Yes we have played in a UCL final and have played UCL consistently for well over a decade....would rather be apart of Europe's elite than win Uefa's 2nd rate competition or should i say 3rd when Cup Winner's Cup was active!Yids wrote:Question is, have you done more than us? All I'm hearing is, grumble grumble runners up. Grumble grumble played in it for a long time.
Fact remains, as much as they say it was "3rd rate" we've done more in Europe. Night chaps!

It'd be an ok signing, not one I'd be jumping for joy over. Decent player, but I still think we need better.Ian_Wright wrote:Tottenham to offer Defoe plus 5 million pound for Asamoah Gyan. Would be an ok signing i suppose...

Gyan is a very good player and would be a fantastic signing for a team looking to win it's 3rd 2nd tier title.....he's way better than the strikers you have at the moment, honestly!

You and I are going to have a good season together I think
I agree, good striker and possibly better than what we got.

Well done Yids, didn't take you long to suss Delfino out. Funny thing is, after Van Pansy, they've got the mighty Bendtner and Chamakh and the disinterested Arshavin. No great surprise they haven't won anything in living memoryYids wrote:Ah some honesty slapped together with being a twatdelfino_1936 wrote:Gyan is a very good player and would be a fantastic signing for a team looking to win it's 3rd 2nd tier title.....he's way better than the strikers you have at the moment, honestly!
