Wow. I asked as he is a good friend as is his whole family. I can only imagine he was pretty fired up and know that he would have been very protective (maybe overly) and doubt that he would have done anything deliberately sinister and would have only had his son's welfare on his mind.
I know how he feels to a degree as in a 17's game about 10 years ago I saw my nephew get attacked by players and then parents that ran on pitch threatening to "kill him". Instinct took over and naturally I, as did a few others, jumped the fence to protect him. I know it wasn't right, but you dont think of consequences when you see family members in danger (or potential danger).

To be honest, at the time, I didnt think about his date of birth. As I said - instinct and the heat of the moment means sometimes we dont consider consequences.
