then he's a cunt, besides on current form this tournament he couldn't hit a barn door (he can happily prove me wrong with a goal or two but no more than that )Juventino wrote:But what if Toni scores all 4, goes onto the semi to score another 3 and 1 in the final???IpswichTown1878 wrote:4-3 to Italy please. Make me some money!! Villa hatrick to secure the golden boot for him, then Italy to go all the way to the final and win it.

Re: Quarter Final: Spain v italy
So was Rossi in the group stage in 1982 and Baggio in 1994. My hope regarding Toni is that he follows in their footsteps after slow starts! It's all I have to hope for.IpswichTown1878 wrote:then he's a merlot, besides on current form this tournament he couldn't hit a barn door (he can happily prove me wrong with a goal or two but no more than that )Juventino wrote:But what if Toni scores all 4, goes onto the semi to score another 3 and 1 in the final???IpswichTown1878 wrote:4-3 to Italy please. reading through another thread I realised this tosser is just a jealous Greek that seems to have an anti-Italian complex.Juventino wrote:How exactly do you win a 'Neil'???
I think some jsut cant take it
what looks better?? The old Jules Rimet trophy or the new World Cup one??
Re: Quarter Final: Spain v italy
I don't know, maybe we should also get German and Brazilian opinions since they too know both trophies as all three nations are a cut above the rest in world football. I'd go for the new cup.
But one trophy they haven't got their hands on before is the Coppa del Duce, handed to the winners of the 1934 world cup by Mussolini.

You can add Georgia and Ukraine to that because both of those were represented by the USSR that won in 1966.Juventino wrote:For all intents and purposes, Russia has made 4 finals, won 1.
But something I've often wondered, can you count Slovakia as former European champions?
Even Russia doesn't claim 1960 as their own.

Only one Ukranian. There were more Georgians than Ukranians. Claims to Soviet acheivments died when the country becamse non-existent.il duce wrote:From what I know it was mostly Russians and Ukrainians who made the USSR team anyway
Re: Quarter Final: Spain v italy
FIFA considers the CIS national football team (and ultimately, Russia national football team) as its successor team allocating its former records to them; nevertheless, a large percentage of the team's former players came from outside Russian SFSR, mainly from Ukrainian SSR, and following the break up of the Soviet Union, some such as Oleg Salenko and Andrei Kanchelskis from the former Ukrainian SSR continued to serve in the new Russia national football team.

Who listens to a bunch of gloryhunting Malaysians though?
It is a clear penalty, and when you have Australian referees saying it is, there is a strong case for it being a clear penalty.
