Soncin IMO, Paolucci was very hot and cold. Some games he was awesome some not, but he's learning. A year in Serie B wouldn't be a bad idea. Defintely first half of the season Bjelanovic (hot and cold as well) then Soncin when he came in.

I've cum all over myself

This is pretty much the 3rd Ascoli song, but my second favourite, in the great year of 01/02

I don't know sometimes.
Tesser and Sonetti are similar managers IMO not really having such a forceful style of game they want their teams to play.
Fair enough Tesser might be hungry to prove people wrong with a second chance but i really don't know sometimes.
Anyways ciao Nedo.
Not sure who will become next seasons manager but it looks like Tesser is the front runner.

Ok Bjelanovic is wanted by Torino. We don't know whats going on yet cause Bjelanovic is at his mates wedding - Igor Budan's in fact - congrats to him. Anyways part of the deal will involve a swap with 18 year old french boy Dominique Sossorobla Malonga whom Torino bought from Monaco, Massive wraps on the forward, but as we know at Ascoli there hasn't been a successful player from not italy in a long time now, in fact since Bierhoff. He's compare to as a Anelka.

Next on the news is IVO IACONI, tipped as maybe a surprise signing for the managers job. Now he's had a fantastic season at Frosinone, personally i've enjoyed their brand of football. He's very much seen as a manager to get Serie C1 teams to Serie B. So going to Ascoli would be a big step for him. Only time will tell now, on who is going to Ascoli.

Another name for the managers role is the young Salvatore CAMPILONGO, he's 45 years old and has guided Cavese to a near Serie B promotion. Salvatore started his time at Cavese in 04/05 where he got the team to finish in the C2 playoffs. The next season produced a top of the table performance which saw Cavese premoted to Serie C1. This season he's guided them to a playoff birth, but lost in the very last minute against Foggia (whom are to playoff against Avellino for Serie B). He's a young manager and maybe that should be Ascoli's focus, considering their focus for young players. However he is inexperienced in Serie B, on the other hand his results are impressive.

Ascoli a new page???

In hindsight the decisions made by the clubs have been unfovourable, mostly relying on loans. But it seems a change in the way the club approaches is here. Probably selling Quagliarella's share last season for somewhere around the 1mil Euro mark, so someone is going to make a massive profit, really hit home. Last night the change occured, usually after a player has a good season Ascoli sells right away to cash in, however Zanetti was bought in full ownership to Ascoli, same with Boudianski, and Soncin. Thus not relying on loans, and having the big clubs dictate their wants. Ascoli paid around 600 000 (option to buy price agreement from last season) Euros for 50% of Zanetti, giving full ownership to Ascoli, and are about to sell half of him for 1mil Euros to Torino. If he does well, Ascoli can cash in a profit, or obtain him for a later stage. Boudianski was bought Juve's 50% share thus meaning he's 100% of Ascoli, meaning Ascoli can build a squad around him, and not have Juve dictate his moves. 1mil Euro's was handed to Juve. Usually a player of Soncin's quality is sold for just over a million Euros, however Atalanta obviously wanted him out, giving him to Ascoli for 800 000. Already Ascoli has not relyed on key players to come from loans.
Ascoli are about to sell 50% of Bjelanovic to Torino, thats another 1mil Euro for half. This allows Ascoli to keep an ownership of him, in case of Ascoli making a return to A, if not, he can be duely sold for a profit if he plays well.
Bocchetti was sold 50% to Frosinone part of a option to buy deal struck up least season. In hindsight probably a bad idea, but it has meant an inexperienced player gets his chance to improve with a club who has been willing to spend money on him. This means Frosinone would want a return on their money. If he's continue's his good form, Ascoli will have a chance of taking him back. Ascoli sold half to Frosinone for half a mil euro's.

Toro grab Ascoli duo

Torino have completing the signings of Paolo Zanetti and Sasa Bjelanovic from relegated Ascoli.

The Granata have been one of the most active clubs in the transfer market and have now announced the arrival of two more men to strengthen their squad for next season.

Zanetti, a 24-year-old midfielder, started his career at Vicenza, making his Serie A debut in the 2000-01 season.

In 2003 he joined Empoli, becoming one of the Tuscan outfit’s key players before being sidelined for most of the 2005-06 campaign because of injury.

Zanetti then moved on to Ascoli last summer and will now wear the Granata outfit, fuelling speculation that Simone Barone is be close to leaving Turin.

Striker Bjelanovic, 28, spent the last two seasons at Ascoli, after having played for Dinamo Zagreb, Varteks Varazdin, Chievo, Como, Genoa and Lecce.

Torino have already secured the services of Eugenio Corini, Vincenzo Grella and Nicola Ventola, who joined the outfit on free transfers earlier this week.

Ascoli have signed a wing back, a more classical wingback, similar towards a Modesto, rather than a supporting wingback. We'll see more pace, especially on the ball, and ability to run with the ball, rather than simply the overlap. His name is Andrea Giallombardo, from Livorno, playing 16 games with Messina last season, and 6 games with Lazio in 05/06. Ascoli have aquired 50% of him, which should complete the likely combination with Pesce on the left hand side, unless if Ascoli play Pesce on the right. He's 27 years old, and had a successful season with Catania last time he was in Serie B, playing 41 games.

Pesce has also signed a contract til 2010.

Catania and Torino are very interested in signing up central defender Corallo.

First half over against Primo Catergoria (8th div) team of Sarnano.

0-6 scoreline in favour of Ascoli.

----------------------Taibi----------------------
------Foglio-------Bellusci----Siniscalchi------
-Guberti-------------------------Giallombardo-
---------------Centi------Luci-------------------
--------------------Soncin-----------------------
--------------Maniero----Giorgi-----------------

Obviously in Serie B the line-up would be nothing like this, but interesting formation.

Goals
Giorgi 3rd min, Maniero 23rd, 26th and 43rd min, Soncin 36th min, Guberti 40th min.

Spectators 500.

Game ended up being 9-0.
