Junior leagues for 2012

Post by Hibs seven »

Can someone advise how the leagues are set up for all age groups JPL and JSL next season, I understand there is relegation and promotion in the older groups but in next years under 13 age group is it the teams that finished in the top three of the three separate leagues and the club that finished the best placed fourth in the A league and the same for the other two leagues?

This seasons top 3 teams from each zone U12 nth, south, and central are in U13 Div 1 for 2012. The best 4th placed team from one of those Zones will join the other 9 and play in U13 Div 1.
The U13 league in 2012 will have 2 up 2 down as normal.
This is how it is normally done.

This information is so wrong.
Follow Georeo's advice - however FFSA won't be able to answer the question either until all team nominations are closed, and ccsc gets a chance to complain (again)

No Big Mac is correct. In previous years this is how it worked.... This year if they keep the same format it will look like this
Top 3 from North will be Para Hills, Raiders and Enfield
Top 3 from Central will be Metro. Adelaide City and Western Strikers
Top 3 from South will be Cove, Cumberland and Birkalla

The best placed 4th finisher will be between
P W L D F A GD P
North Playford 16 11 5 0 64 27 37 33
Central Campbelltown 18 11 6 1 70 25 45 34
South South Adelaide 16 7 5 4 40 31 9 25

So you would probably say on those results you can count out South Adelaide. Campbelltown have more points but played more games. I guess up to the discression of the FFSA...Next year you can say that U/13A JPL will be

Para Hills
Raiders
Enfield
Metro
Adelaide City
Western Strikers
Cove
Cumberland
Birkalla
Campbelltown or Playford

NO IT ISN'T what happened at the start of 2011, but it should have been.
They based the divisions on the FOUR U12 groups from 2010, then CCSC and another club complained (etc) to FFSA and had the U13 divisions completely re-arranged.

The competition rules are clear - after nominations, FFSA will decide, FULL STOP.

Then some might perceive the scape-goat for the fiasco left the association (thus protecting the guilty).

I think you may have your age groups wrong?, there were not 4 x U12 groups in 2010.
It was North (1), South(1) and Central(1). Top 3 teams got in from those 3 zones and 4th best in Central(1) Zone also got in.
This made a league of 10 teams in 2011.
In South U12 it was Cumby, Cove, and Comets ,Nth was Para, Gawler and Salis. Central was A City, WA, Metro then Campbelltown.
For memory this was the ladder order end of 2010.
Whoever was 4th in Central were better placed than 4th in the other 2 zones, hence they got in to U13A for 2012. That I am certain, no argument there.
Each Zone had a Div2, no teams were promoted from Div2 to U13A in 2011. It was only teams from the 3 x Div1, that made U13 Div1 in 2011.
I remember at one stage an early draft by the new FFSA Junior Co-ordinator had Cobras in from South(2) instead of Campbelltown.
This was an error.
This was later changed and Campbelltown got in because no team under the system was suppose to get promoted from a "B" League.
If Campbelltown complained they probably had a right to.

re any play-off between CSSC and playford, think this should have happened straight after the season. With teams in Div 1 next year having already finished their trials i know one of these clubs has lost a number of players already. this may not have happened if they were to be in Div 1.
