No Cahill, Schwarzer, Kewell or Emerton.

We'll be right!

Changing of the guard, has to happen now so the kids are ready for brazil as these 4 might not make it, along with bresh and grella, people were worried when these two stepped aside but McKay Jedinak valeri and Holman stepped up, we will be fine as there are about 6 or so young talents in Europe not in this squad, osieck seems very good at picking squads and managing players, especially young players and not over exposing them too early

I think the Socceroos will win comfortably. Holger has done well to bring in a new generation of players who have stepped up to the mark, something Pim failed to do.

3-0 Aussies!

Jeez. Sweet f... all interest on this site by forumites about this important World Cup qualifier tomorrow night (Tuesday 11/10)... And apparently terrible ticket sales in Sin City where the FFA stupidly took the game to the cavernous ANZ stadium instead of the SFS.

Oman is sitting on 1 point & a draw is no good to them. They could really come at us.

It will be interesting if the holster man keeps Wilkshire @ right midfield, while retaining Rhys Williams @ right back & it looks like the unlucky Alex Brosque will make way for Holman.

Let's hope we can kill off Oman & stay top of the group which will mean a favourable draw in the next crunch round. Gotta avoid Japan, South Korea & Iran.

Socceroos have no chance of winning without their names on the back of their shirts.
Time for some righteous indignation

Ha, ha Stich This! You're a nice cynic.

But the newcomers we hope to attract our game want it.

Now, your comments please on the Wilkshire, Williams & Brosque issues.

Ha, ha Stitch That & D.A.M.n - it's good that they won and some interested newcomers watching the game (when the sport had Tuesday night to itself in OZ) were able to identify players more easily. But are you two opposed to some underling or waterboy who helps organize a national team doing this simple chore of putting the names on?

that's a politically motivated comment!

still doesn't answer why I should give a fuck about the footballroos though.

As for my 2nd favourite national team, I don't have one just countries I hate a bit less than the others.

Not only great win but impressed how our national teams game plane and tactics are evolving under Holger Osieck.

Long gone is the boring defensive football.

It's OK, he'll just pick a different country to follow when that happens.
