I am sure they are scared of big bad Napoli Soccer... A point would be a massive win for the garbage collectors.

Good game by Napoli, did really well considering Man City had a month of competative football on them. Should of held on to that lead that though...

Obviously a good win.
Milan had plenty of quality missing, however saying that, their team was still capable.
Great response after Aquilani's goal
Cavani is a beast. Another hat trick. Gargano and Inler are a great pair in the middle.
We need to keep our feet on the ground and keep playing like this.

Re: SSC Napoli
What a mazey run from inside his own penalty area by the little pocket rocket Gargano!
After Aqualani's splendid header in the top corner Cavani scored only 60 seconds later and then Milan conceded on the counter with a fabulous Gargano run from his own half.
Napoli were always going to hit them on the counter.
We had too much pace for Milan.
Cavani third goal was a cracker. half volley from 15 yards out. to reacte like that and thump the ball past Abbiati was sensational.
We travel to Inter in 2 weeks time and a result there would set us up quite nicely if were able to maintain this start.
I think looking at the table Juventus could be very well licking their lips in the thought they have no European games to contend with while the challengers in Milan, Inter, Roma and Lazio are only on 1 point.
Impressed with Udinese since they lost a few players.
Milan host Udinese midweek which for them will be another huge test.
Honourable mention to German Denis who scored Atalanta's only goal to edge them closer to 0 points
Hoping Pellisier will be out for Chievo midweek against us. Received a knock and had to be substitued on the weekend.

I dont know how Nesta stayed on the park - very very lucky in the incident with Aronica.
Pato was an angry little ant as well.
PS Mastiff, still cant believe Aronica gets a game.
Absolute scrubber.

priceless.
Apparently there was a brawl between Aronica and Nesta in the tunnel after the game.
Re: SSC Napoli
Probably not even comparable as footballers but i think Aronica would belt him if push came tp shove off the park.El Pibe D'Oro wrote:priceless.

Re: SSC Napoli
Aronica is not a world class defender, but that is Mazzarri for you, he does ridiculously well with at times average personel. His ability to be a title threat without 11 stars at all times makes him amongst the best coaches around. Another point I made before Mazzarri went to Napoli was his ability to get the most out of his strikers...

Re: SSC Napoli
He is Mazzari's only option which has game time experience under his belt at the minute.
I think we all tend to look at the silly things he does.
Besides he got into the TOP TEAM for Week 3 as voted from writers of the Football Italia Website
Salvatore Aronica [Napoli]
The gritty Sicilian was determined to let no-one pass and Pato was especially shackled by the veteran defender. He also got under the skin of several other Milan players who were openly frustrated by his ferocious tackling. Dogged.

It's a bit of worry for myself that I find myself supporting Napoli in the UCL.
Great to see them put Villareal away early and hopefully the further they progress, the closer Italy is to regaining it's rightful 4th UCL spot back.

Few more market rumours - apparently Denis wanted back at Napoli and possibly Moussa Sow from Lille for January.

Pfffft, we lost at home to Parma this week, not really anything to post about. Impasse off, but a win against Bayern this week in UCL, and I will b very happy.
Even a point will do, for me, for now.
Ps, feels great to beat the riomma merda in the derby, congrats,
Re: SSC Napoli
Jog on dickhead... go talk about Manchester United and how great English football is. Why are you wasting your time watching players dive all over the place like they do in Serie A? Stick to EPL, you fucking fan boy.D.A.M wrote:LFTWNG11 wrote:Quiet week in this thread?

It was supposed to be in blue text, as sarcastic, cos the EPL lovers bag serie a!
But, once again, u take it the wrong way, as usual.
Neways, I'm happy we got a draw at anfield, considering u pooooo should of won that game, IMO!

Re: SSC Napoli
I think I posted in the Serie A round 7 thread, but abysmal result at home.
Mystifies me how we can beat both milanese teams then lose to Chievo (albeit away with 7 players turned over) and then Parma (havent seen the game).
Anyway, upward and onward with the game tomorrow morning.

Re: SSC Napoli
It doesn't help that Napoli are naturally a counter-attacking team, but forced to take the initiative against the smaller clubs, especially when at home.
