So Ive been around for a few years with Womens Soccer and the rumours Ive heard have got me a bit worried about the future...
From what I can gather 2 clubs are in trouble of folding their Prem teams.... One has juniors to go on with but the other has only 1 junior team... Then there is an influx of players who have had enough of another Premier League club and are looking at other clubs...
With most of these players at these 3 clubs looking to move to other clubs how will this affect the whole premier league.

Unfortunately the clubs don't seem able to survive in the current structure...
One thing that you can notice is in State League there are no reserves and the competition seems actually much more stable (not the level LOL, just the actual comp!). Maybe FFSA had to stand by their decision to abolish reserves a few years back? Just a thought, not saying reserves are the issue here, but maybe clubs just find it too hard to sustain so many senior players. I know of at least 3 Prem clubs that are in this situation...
Maybe clubs would do better with juniors and one senior team only? I heard a lot of talk about that and maybe it's not such a bad thing?

Re: State of Premier league
If these rumours are true, then the Premier League has some very serious issues to deal with over the summer, otherwise those remainfing few clubs will have no one to play.
Don't forget too, that the FFSA is starting the new SASI equivalent team in the Premier League and I understand that team will sign up 20 players from existing clubs. Thats 20 players lost from the existing handful of clubs. Some clubs stand to lose 4-5 quality players.
I've also heard of quite a few senior prem players also quitting the game (fed up) or just retiring.
It will be a very interesting summer ......

Re: State of Premier league
That new SASI program could be a killer. It's good for the development of those young girls, but could rip the heart out of the league. Especially for the 'lesser' sides, Uni look good value to come up but will probably lose a good number of their team, Cumby lose Emma Checker, Sturt would lose Jess Waterhouse, Fulham lose Ebony Philcox. Some good young players those sides would be looking to build around in the near future....
If coached properly, this new SASI could end up pretty close to the top of the table...
