Was thinking the same thing but he has only gone on loan, having said that he has gone to UAE. A player that had tested positive for drugs couldn't go anywhere else surely??!!Del Boca Vista wrote:Gyan

Re: Top EPL player tested positive
There's a channel 4 programme on tonight about it.
Apparently it's rife but has always been covered up.
The Truth About Drugs in Football: Dispatches
Antony Barnett investigates the use of recreational and performance-enhancing substances in the nation's favourite sport. Along the way, he examines football's drugs-testing regime, raises questions about action taken against those found guilty of substance abuse, and highlights some of the many unusual - but perfectly legal - treatments players undergo

I was really surprised when I found out the AFL had a system where players had a few strikes and were kept anonymous from the public if they tested positive for recreational drugs. But as it turns out the same thing happens in the UK with football players, I always thought it was strange more players didn't test positive for cocaine etc!

Going by all reports, Gyan has quit and never wants to play in England again. All it revealed was a nasty dust up between he and Steve Bruce, but like always, there is more to the story than what they will let on.Outlaw 2.0 wrote:Was thinking the same thing but he has only gone on loan, having said that he has gone to UAE. kept anonymous from media outlets etc.. but unlike the afl policy - the players still serve a ban.
