Aye horrible news. Hopefully Moddy can hit good form, Sandro will come back, and until then Parker can fill in or even prove himself.Chelsea4thewin wrote:VDV out for 6

I have recently decided to become a Spurs supporter due to the exponential increase in the number of Scott Parkers in their squad, would it be too bandwagonish to get Parker on the back of my shirt?BowTiesAreCool wrote:I like it.Yids wrote:I say that to keep it under the radar. Arsenal did it with Cesc for 3 years & look where it got us... You need your big players to be heading in the same direction, if not they dont perform when needed & look @ Modric v CitehChelsea4thewin wrote:turned down 40millEl Capitano wrote:So Redknapp outs Modric and Chel$ki give up and sign Meireles instead

so they keep a player who doesnt want to be there
Should of cashed in the 40mil & Harry would of been able to do some good wheeling & dealing in the summer, not just lure in some freebies & loanees for the year

Re: Tottenham 2011/12
i would rather we tried to sign Sneijder then Modric and we would of got him for 40mill
but that probably would of led to forcing Lampard out of the team, this is our problem at chelsea, the manager is too scared to drop him

Redknapp's statement prevents Tottenham from using any PR spin regarding Modric.

Re: Tottenham 2011/12
Transfers are not under Harry's control so that's a stupid comment. Everyone knew Modric wanted to leave so, as long as the transfer window remained open and there was a faint chance of him getting away, he was always going to be unsettled. To be fair to Levy, he stated no sale at any price, and stuck to it.El Capitano wrote:Redknapp publicly stated that he had to "twist Modric's arm" for him to rock up to the Man City game... and it showedYids wrote:Explain o wise one.El Capitano wrote:So Redknapp outs Modric and Chel$ki give up and sign Meireles instead

He hasn't played since the window shut, so it's too soon to tell how he'll perform over the rest of the season.

Luka will be sold in January i reckon. They'll get more for him if it's true that united want him now too.

do you think we are not focusing on Sneijder as it would lead to the end of Lampard?Litmanen wrote:Chelsea4thewin wrote:more then 40million?

Re: Tottenham 2011/12
Points at last!!
Good start from Parker but I thought Adebayor looked to be lacking a bit of match fitness.
I cannot understand Harry putting Bale on the right just to please Kranjcar who prefers to play left. Fuck him, he's pedestrian, put him on the right and keep Bale in his proper position.

Great result didnt see the game though, good to see the king back and Adebayor scoring on his debut hopefully him and Defoe will click. By the way where was Dawson and Lennon?

oh ok our injury list is horrible at the moment with Lennon, Sandro, Pienaar, Van Der Vart, Corluka, Gallas and possibly Dawson.

Re: Tottenham 2011/12
what an absolute spanking
utterly embarrassed them when it was 11 v 11. i am so glad we are playing 2 up front. with our midfield the chances are gonna come quick and fast, gonna be a good year if Adebayor remains in this form, and Defoe seems to be somewhat back to his old self (he shouldve buried that chance start of the 2nd half tho)
Modric passing was unreal. i hoped after he scored that cracker for Croatia against Israel he'd back himself more in front of goal
walker had a good game, he gets into alot of dangerous positions down the right.. clearly #1 RB over Corluka now. Also don't think its a coincidence that King comes in and we keep 2 clean sheets... i wonder what the odds on him playing 3 games in a row are

Bale and Modric dominated the front 2/3's down the left side. All through the first half bale had miles of space. Modric was cutting in which meant Lucas was out of position SO MANY TIMES.Typified at the end, when Lucas ran into nowhere with the ball and had it taken off him for the 4th goal.
Adam really needed to communicate better ( for the first 30 minutes anyway), those two did a horrible job of anchoring last night.
Adebayor is so good. It's a shame he's a pain in the ass most of the time!
Re: Tottenham 2011/12
another good win on the weekend
bale's running is wrecking havoc... twice in a row, red card for his direct opponent
adebayor still wild
king is the man, we look so solid
second half not as convincing, but aside from their goal they didnt really create a chance. so pretty comfortable
bring on the goons!

This weekend shall be brilliant, two sides finding form, and (mainly spuds ) playing attractive footy.
Time for Tootenham to rise from Arsenals shadow perhaps...........nah. Come for us
