Fulham had there prems keeper play in goals last night vs toros in the semi.
pathetic!!!!!
ffsa needs to change these rules.
Players should be only able to move up 13s to 15s etc but not move down at all.

Who won that final? BTW half of the Uni state league squad played in the other U17 semifinal on Wednesday night. Really wonder if they've all met the five-league-game requirement? Hope FFSA has a look.

very well said biff!
BIFF wrote:Salisbury Inter received confirmation by email that Flinders had breached the rules regarding a maximum of 3 players being dropped for 1 match and as such both Div 2 & Div 4 results would be awarded to Inter. 2 players who had played a number of games in the state league played in the Division 4 match and in the Division 2 game a total of 7 players had played 5 or more games in the state league. Of the 7 there were 3 that had played more than 5 matches in the state league whilst the other 4 had played 9 games or more. The fact that the state league team had the bye should not be used as an excuse as dropping so many players down for this game is not really in the spirit of the game. Inter were unfortunate to have had the fixture draw on the same round when the Flinders state league team had the bye and were also beaten 5-2 in round 2 by a Flinders side who bore no resemblance to the team that was beaten quite easily the following week (I watched them lose 0-6 to Munno Para) . No complaint was made at the time as after only 2 rounds it is not clear which players are from any particular division. However , in round 16 it was obvious that this was not a team that was sitting at the foot of the Div 2 table (note that once again the following round they lost 0-6 to Munno Para).
At Inter we at times have found it difficult to field 2 teams but we have not resorted to stacking our Div 4 team with Div 2 players but rather have made it the priority to make sure Div 2 is filled first and if players are required for Div 4 we have player's friends or relatives (most of whom have never played before) make up the numbers with a forfeit only being a last option. We also play Adelaide Uni in the same round as their state league has the bye but to their credit they have not stacked their team. Inter prides itself on its history and its reputation for fair play and we did not take the decision lightly to pursue this matter (in fact we would have been happy to replay the game) but in the end the FFSA has simply enforced the rules as stated and sent a message to all clubs that this competition is about fair play as much as it is about winning.
