To be fair, asssnal lost their x2 best players and had x3 suspended and another 2-3 injured!
Too many youngsters in team and not enough experienced or leaders tbh!
If anyone can get assnal back on track, it's arsene!
Funny game really coz as bad as Arsenal were, they still had plenty of chances and the penalty RVP missed was a crucial moment when at 1 nil down he had the chance to level it which would of given Arsenals youngsters a bundle of confidence. Instead, their Captain misses and Man USA go down the other end and make it 2, if that's not demoralizing I don't know what is. Man USA couldn't miss today, 4 superb strikes (2 each to Young and Rooney) said it all. One of those days wen everything went right for 1 team, and terribly wrong for the other.
I cannot seriously see any team challenging the 2 Manchesters for the title. Liverpool are good, but not even they have anything on these 2 teams. Chelsea only look good when Anelka is on the park and Tottenham have conceded 8 goals in 2 games to the Manchester sides and were at just about full strength both times and are still not guaranteed Modric hasn't played his last game for them by all reports. Chelsea are the only other side that have the quality, but until they are coached from the bench and not from a certain corporate box, they are gonna be nothing more than a 4th to 6th team although, teams like Chelsea and Liverpool will decide the champion in the end with the results they pull against both Manchester sides. Long season granted, but the signs are ominous already!!!

I honestly think Arsenal were dominating play in the second half up until the 55th minute and had they finished better we could be talking about a very different scoreline. Having said that the way they fell to pieces after Rooney's second was inexcusable and for a premier league team to defend that badly is just disgraceful. I believe it was a freak occurrence but Arsene needs to make some signings and fast.
I do not believe the gulf of quality between Liverpool and the Manchester clubs is that great. Manchester City have a superior squad and Manchester United have a great winning mentality not too mention a squad that isn't to far away from City's but Liverpool's starting 11 is as good as any bar Barcelona and with both Manchester clubs competing in the Champions League as well there is a chance that they could slip at the crucial moment and the dark horses, Liverpool or Chelsea, could win it. Arsenal are fucked though.

Their starts been okay. Do you agree with the comment 'Liverpool's starting 11 is as good as any bar Barcelona'?

Man Utd's team was 6 months younger on average than Arsenals.
United had Vidic, Valencia, Fletcher, Carrick, Raphael, Fabio, Owen and Macheda all missing out, and Rio only half fit on bench as cover. The big differenace is the mental strength of United over Arsenal or SAF over Wenger.

fair call united had a list out but really only valencia, vidic, and rio would of started as opposed to vermaelen, gibbs, sagna, song, frimpong, gervinho, wilshere, diaby as well as spending the last 15 down at 10 men.
that said the defending/ tactics were inexcusable and manu were fantastic and finished their chances brilliant
time for wenger to consider the future direction of the club (as in player philosophy not manager)
