Rangers should have been at least 2-0 up at halftime and 2 lapses cost them but I believe they will do enough. Whilst Celtic didn't score neither did Sion and they didn't look like it either - I think Celtic will do the job away
Considering Celtic had 3 of there best players out injured, Gary Hooper, Beram Kayal and Kelvin Wilson.
They will all have a fitness test b4 the game, So fingers crossed Celtic get the result they are looking for.

Sion have five players in their squad - Feindouno, Mario Mutsch and Gabri, Jose Goncalves and Billy Ketkeophomphone - who, in the eyes of the sport's governing body Fifa, are ineligible to play in the competition.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport will now rule on the issue which centres on a transfer embargo placed upon the club, next week.

"We have sent in letters last week and handed one to the delegate," said the Celtic boss.

"There is hearing on Tuesday and we will know the outcome after that.

"If clubs are breaking the rules then every club should break the rules then."

Very simple,,,,,,,,,,they played ineligible players, end of story.............................

Agree with that no problem. But tell me, they players they played, although ineligible, were they superstars of the game? Players so good that Barcelona are tracking them? No, they're average at best and they were still too good for Celtic.

Fair enough, Celtic might get through on a technicality, but don't use qualification to sing their praises. Hail, hail, my arse.

We had 10 men for 88mins ya wally's.

We werent expecting to win with 10 men, at the start of the game we were confident, then that
was short lived.

the fact is though that Rangers have more rights to be in a "champions" league than arsenal.

yes the scottish champions should be, it is after all the champions league.
When united won the treble they finished runners up in the league the year before.

Of course Scottish teams should be in it. Thats like saying do Irish League teams deserve to be in it. The Champions League has been ruined by money and have 3 or 4 teams from some nations in there. It is a joke. Even when Celtic got to the final qualifying round we got Arsenal a few years back, how are we supposed to get passed that.

The Europa League is just as bad with people who get knocked out of the Champion league join it. If you get knocked out at any stage you should be out.

Celtic and Rangers have had a dire European run this year, Still cant see how Sion can get away with playing ineligble players, will be interesting to see what UEFA do. Rules are rules.

The comment about the Sion players not being good players is dumb. How can you judge when you dont know who they are. Where do you think some of these superstars come from, they all need their break somewhere.

the list would have been very long if i'd included every club there with less entitlement than rangers.

exactly, but found it bit harsh just to include Arsenal, when Arsenal have been 3 times eligible in the past 14 years compared to Man Citeh 0, Sp*rs 0, Liverpool 0 etc etc

I was always going to pick an English side as I don't know who won what in other leagues. You have a 33.333333% chance of it being arsenal.

UNLUCKY!!

Can't believe this is still being argued over. I only put the thread up to wind up Doc and the other sweaties and it's still going.

For what it's worth, I think they should change the name of the comp, but otherwise I'm reasonably happy with the way it runs.
