Coach, manager, trainer registration

Post by LeicesterCity »

The new Competition Rules states that: No person shall act as a manager, coach, trainer or physiotherapist at any match unless they are currently registered with the FFSA. Any club who breaches this registration rule shall be subject to a Level 3 fine ($1000).

There is no FFSA Code of Conduct anymore for players, coaches or officials, the new FFA Football Code of Conduct covers all players, coaches and officials.

In participating in any FFSA Competition, a Player/Coach/Official agrees to abide by the Rules, Regulations and By-laws of the FFSA.

Yes it includes the junior set up.

Also, juniors will be signed up by clubs using amateur player paperwork. This will mean that the juniors will have the same terms and conditions as amateur players, and have to abide by the FFA code of conduct.

I think they have to follow the following rules:

* Prematch beer
* In game banter with spectators
* Very poor goal celebrations
* Posmatch beer

But most of all, just have fun...

WARNING * Heavy amount of sarcasm used in this post... in all honesty i have no idea if there are any separat rules, just having a bit of fun!!

That's the million dollar question!
They struggled last season and now looks like even more paperwork, but at least things are progressing :wink:

we had a coaches meeting the other week, and our delegate advised us that we need to just fill in a registration form if we are either a coach, assistant coach, team manager, trainer etc.

all we need to do is fill in a form and get a police check done. apparently they put this is the rules because of government rules that people dealing with children need to be registered with their sports association so they have a record of who is a coach, team manager, trainer, physio.

great idea i think, ive already done mine, just had to fill in a one page form and thats it, and that covers us for the code of conduct, well now its called Football Code of Conduct by the FFA.

no payment is required, unless you are a coach and are due to pay the $22 National fee which is every four years.

Theres a 64 page document regarding the FFA code of conduct.

Or a simplified version of questions and answers.

http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/sit ... source.pdf

Basically, the FFA have took on board all players registrations, regardless of age, and applied a code of conduct that encompasses everyone. It seems like overkill,especially on the paperwork, but like Bill says, its positive and its with the best intentions. Also this will bring Australia into line with other countries, and FIFA.

Although i do prefer Rooboys outlook on it. :D
