Sorry for the delay, just had a few relaxing days down at Victor. Nice!

Tipping table after Round 13:

37 Jack Mehorf
33 otto62
32 Big boy roy
32 Green Warrior
32 Platini
32 p@ul12
28 Happy_Hammer
27 Franco UnAmerican
27 Galey
25 El Diego
21 Blotto
15 God is an Englishman
14 blind_spot

9 The Kings Jesta, Veggos
4 CrappyKeeper, Kitchimo, Maddog, Mr X
3 crue head, redders, Rhino, some bloke, stormygale
2 Rob Lozza, sirstevieg
1 Attacker09, BADA BING, Skedaddle
0 Robin Hood

Platini top scored this week with 4, while Big boy roy & El Diego must have taken their tips from Rhino, scoring zero.
Even though Jack imploded, only scoring 1 this round, he still holds a clear lead, after that the next 5 are as close as the top of Div 1!

Ridiculous now at the top. Sturt fall from first to fourth. When is the Stirling v BOSA match being replayed?

At the bottom, Africa are for all intents and purposes, gone. Should they beat Modbury this weekend they might put the knife in both teams. Wanderers gaining a point against Sturt Marion was crucial.

In the Reserves, the Stirling v BOSA postponed match is also crucial. Winner of that game will win the league. A draw and it's game on, gives Sturt Marion a sniff.

I have been informed that the postponed OISC v Modbury fixture in the Reserves will be replayed on the Cup weekend on 13 August.

Sitling v Bosa must be played before last game of the year. A mid week fixture must be scheduled. In such a close title race all the last games should be played at the same time.

I may be wrong, but I believe the next round of the cup isn't until after the last league round. Therefore, as far as rescheduling the catch up game before the end of the season, it wouldn't have really mattered if they were still in the cup or not.

They could play it Ade Hills ground mid week, have new lights, and their season is finished -could be a good PR exercise ?

well if they were in the Cups it would be forced to play it midweek as there were no weekends available as the SAASL Cup Final has been brought forward a week. as they are both out of the Cups could they play it same weekend as the semi final?

You can take your Hills Hawks ground and shove it ..... (calm down, calm down....). We have lights at Stirling, not sure if they're good enough, but we've played under them before. But why would BOSA (or Stirling) agree to disadvantage themselves by playing two games in a week, on a night when they might have players unavailable due to work commitments? To suit other clubs? Yeah, that might happen.

Technically, it's not up to the clubs to decide.
Matches abandoned or postponed because of inclement weather, bad ground
conditions or other causes not involving violence or disturbance shall be replayed at
a time and place specified by the League.

Maybe when CC made the suggestion wasnt aware of what the relationship was like between you and the Hills. Listening to the Hawks player who was interviewed last Sunday on Coast FM,he had nothing but praise for Stirling and Hahndorf,so I wouldve thought the same thing, and so you dont have travel all the way to Grange mid week. Thinking about it now,why cant it be played the same weekend as the Cup semi finals, wont clash as you guys play Saturday at Bradbury, to maybe decide the league, then we watch the semi finals on Sunday, what a great weekend that would be ?

I believe all the other clubs who would have finished their league season will (rightly) have something to say about that, particularly if BOSA can still win the title.

Actually, the current Stirling set up may have nothing against Hills Hawks.

My beef with them is from years ago. Still have a sour taste in my mouth about them nicking our coach & our best players when they first started up senior teams. Also, we tried to work with them when we were ready to develop Bradwood Park. We'd done all the ground work & asked if they wanted to come in with us and share the facility with 2 pitches. They asked us where were we going to play, cause they'd want exclusive use of both pitches (cheeky buggers).

Like I said, current admin at both clubs probably have no problem with each other, it's just this grumpy old bugger here.

At the top, Stirling do St Peters and BOSA a massive favour (both of whom missed the opportunity to put themselves in the ascendancy) and keep themselves in with an outside chance of snatching the title. Any one of the top 5 can still win the league, but logically only one of the top three will win.

This is the ride home:

31pts St Peters: Allstars (home), Sturt Marion (away)
31pts Adelaide Villa: Wanderers (home), Salisbury Villa (away)
29pts BOSA: Salisbury Villa (away), Allstars (away), Stirling (away - TBD)
27pts Sturt Marion: OISC (away), St Peters (home)
26pts Stirling: Modbury (away), OISC (home), BOSA (home - TBD)

Would hope that the Stirling v BOSA matches are played before the final week of the season out of fairness to the other teams. None of the top three will want to drop any more points before that fixture is played, whilst Sturt and Stirling have nothing to lose in their last fixtures. Adelaide Villa appears to have the 'easiest' run home.

OISC mathematically now safe at the bottom after overcoming a depleted Allstars. I think that's the fourth worst pitch I've ever played on - behind the two OISC pitches in Winter and the old Adelaide Villa pitch at Renown Park in Winter.

Wanderers need one point from their last two games to survive. Modbury v Wanderers are playing each other in the last round, so if Modbury pull off another upset this week against Stirling, they need Adelaide Villa to beat Wanderers this week to make that game relevant. Could they pull off the great escape?
