Noarlunga VS Punjab (Div4)

Punjab decided to just not turn up to the games today. We rang throught to see why they werent around 10 mins before kick off and apparently they couldnt get players for 2 teams and decided during the week they werent playing but didnt think to inform us. Piss poor performance from Punjab absolutely discraceful. We dont believe for a second that it was a lack of players, Punjab need to pull there heads in. Heres hoping they get fined by the league as a minimum.

Nope, before HT.

10. CHECKING IDENTITY OF PLAYERS

Cards are to be provided in a waterproof container, clearly identifying the applicable club.
(a) When the referee has received the team sheets and Identity Cards from each team he
will offer to each club a copy of its opposition’s team sheet together with the Identity
Cards listed thereon. It is not compulsory for either team to accept the Identity Cards
but, should it fail to do so, it may not subsequently query the identity or eligibility of
any opposition player.

(b) Each team manager shall thus have the opportunity of checking the identity of the
opponent’s player against the Identity Cards provided. The check must be completed
before half time and all of the Identity Cards must be returned to the referee
immediately upon the referee leaving the field of play at half time.

But it's not the be all and end all if not done by HT.

Yeah i think that is what happened. Its a piss poor excuse and they should have turned up.

Atleast we know that you guys will be there in 2 weeks when we meet again at your ground and we will be there no matter the situation.

After a few average weeks good to see Savoy back in contention for promotion. A few hard games to come though.

That is disappointing,but I am not suprised. I voluntarily offered to help the guys out during the week by taking them for a training session.

They had 12 players at training,about another dozen watching who were injured apparently. When I finished all my part,and they had a game at the end,half the injured guys wanted to join in, ( isnt it amazing how that happens ? )and I wouldnt let them - that didnt go down so well, however all the guys that did train supported me. They have a core group of about 9 or 10 players who really want to train and play, the rest seem to do as they please.
Given that their coach has now gone on holidays,and the guy I dealt with who organises the teams was away last weekend, is no excuse for at least a courtesy phone call at least the night before from someone else within the club. I will try to get someone from the club to ring you and apologise,as it is unacceptable.

yep it did happen ... well over 5 years ago now i think if not more...
it had a bit to do with ignorance on our behalf... no body cared enough to know that you actually couldnt play kk in amateurs (im not justifing it) and he couldnt make up his mind where the hell he wanted to play lol, plus it was such a convienience having him on the field hahahah
but in the end we got points taken off... and there was a collective decision to make sure kk didnt play from then on...
we just wanna make sure the rules apply here as well
