Catch up game 1B - OISC v Modbury
OISC to humiliate the jets.
Thinking 5-0.

Jets won the reverse fixture 4-1, so OISC would be stupid to think they can waltz this one home.
OISC 2-0 for mine.
OISC 2-0 for mine.

What's the pitch looking like, lads? If your 3a side are at home too, the option of the other pitch isn't there, and I've heard you've asked about our ground, but it's currently waterlogged still after last week's flood.
And with me in goal Uggies could even get into double figures. ( unintentional spelling error, but I liked it once I saw it.)

I drove past the OISC ground at lunch time today. My thought at the time was Faaaaaarrrk.
Their big pitch is a cow paddock. It may be nicer up close, but forget the screw-ins, bring the wellingtons.

Would be good to get an early call on the pitch if it's no good, we could rearrange for next cup round if there is no pitch to play on.

It will be a huge let down if we go there again for a call off, but we will be really mad if there is no beer again.Mato wrote:lol i was just about to post. yeah a little bitRhino wrote:Any rain overnight in town?

Fingers crossed we get both football and beer at Glenunga at the third attempt!!

Thank you to the Iggies supporter who made a point of crossing the pitch to commend us on our character and conduct. Such little gestures go a long way with me, and although I was not there at the time (drowning my sorrows), his words were passed on and I just want to let the man know they were appreciated.

Fuck me, Saturday and Sunday are very different you get a good old fashioned humping and commend them for being nice to you after the game, as the Mighty John McEnroe once said "show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser"Rhino wrote:Thank you to the Iggies supporter who made a point of crossing the pitch to commend us on our character and conduct. There would be plenty of quotes along the lines of being noble in defeat too, and I doubt any of them came from McEnroe.Knight15 wrote:shiraz me, Saturday and Sunday are very different you get a good old fashioned humping and commend them for being nice to you after the game, as the Mighty John McEnroe once said "show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser"Rhino wrote:Thank you to the Iggies supporter who made a point of crossing the pitch to commend us on our character and conduct. It was us that were commended by a parent of an Iggies player. Part of his comments were specifically directed towards me, and seeing I wasn't present to say thank you, I've said it here.
Losing is part of football. If you want to succeed, you must learn from it. You can quote me on that.
