Bosna Adelaide ( 3 ) Southern Knights ( 2 )
.....................................David Mooney 2
Once again Knights had a re-shuffled side with 4 players out from the previous week (if people are sick of me writing this each week...imagine how frustrating it is for the players in the side that have to re-adjust each week with between 4-6 players out
) and went a goal down after about 3 minutes from which they never really recovered all day.
Bosna looked more alert for the first 10 minutes and established a 2-0 lead from the penalty spot after a mis-timed tackle. Ben Jones came close to pulling one back when his 35 metre shot rattled the crossbar with the feintest of touches (but just enough !) from Bosna's keeper. Paul Thompson, Scott Bradley and Bradley Armour also found themselves with opportunities to test the Bosna keeper
Bosna also had a long range strike rattle Knights cross-bar and they went to the break with a 2-0 lead.
After the break Knights seemed more direct and determined and after about 10 minutes David Mooney was able to slot home a goal for Knights.
Bosna's smallest player displayed some individual brilliance to knock the ball forward, run onto the ball and drive the ball passed Phil Smith in the Knights goal to give then a 3-1 lead.
Scott Bradley appeared to have scored Knights second goal only for the ball to be brought back for a Knights free-kick.
Once again however, it was David Mooney who was able to give Knights some hope when he found the net again to make it 3-2, his 8th goal for the season.
Knights had several other opportunities to level the game or take the lead when several chances went begging or Bosna's keeper was up to the challenge with several fine saves.
Bosna too were denied on several occasions by some excellent saves from Phil Smith in Knights goal.
Frustrating game to watch with very little going the Knights way and some mysterious decision (or lack of ) making.
The pressure is really on Knights now to show some character and bounce back both on the training track and the 4 remaining Sundays.

What game were you watching today...comment was totally off the mark... :?
Lucky this Knights player had padding on the side of his shinpad.
Quite a vicious tackle without even a hint of yellow

Good game from Knights Reserves today with the excellent return of Mark "Farnham" Franklin an solid contributions from Boyd Lewis, Richard Finlayson, Ben Vidgeon Tony Harrison and Dustin McMahon.
My bad - I suggested to bloodypassit that BCS88 might be formerly known as Brown Paper Bag Crew...but that was BPBC..
