[quote="Alinoz_700"]Stirling vs Salisbury Villa
A's 4-2
A good game played on a very wet and heavy pitch. To the credit of both teams, the game was played in good spirits with no malicious tackles. But I must say it was one of the worst refereeing displays I have seen for a long time. Stirling played better and probably deserved the 3 points. They did not need the added assistance of the referee. He was an absolute joke. Missed an obvious penalty to Villa and over ruled the linesman on Stirling's 3rd goal. Yellow card for pulling out of a slide tackle but free kick only for 'studs up' tackles? Play on for slide tackling a player once he released the ball. Even over ruled the linesman when he flagged for a through in and called play on - did this while standing in the center circle.
.....................and to the Stirling Keeper - well done, but please shut the f... up you were giving us all a headache (I'm glad you made a couple of stuff ups - that did quieten you down a bit)

Re: Saturday results
Well, lucky for you boys only one of our players gave you a headache, at least you didn't have to put with the opposition screaming for a foul every time there was some contact followed by shouts for a yellow card, or shouting handball every time the ball went above waist height and went close to one of our players. If points were awarded for whingeing I'm sure you would be unbeaten and wrapped up the league by now, thankfully for us points are awarded for who scores the most, not who whinges the loudest.

Maybe whinge a bit harder next week, might work for you, or you could try and play some football and see how that turns out.
Re: Saturday results
Like I said di..head, stirling played well, and if you think the ref had a good game, well you have NFI. ...............and since you brought up whinging, you already won that league a few weeks ago against BOSA when the game was called off.Alinoz_700 wrote:Well, lucky for you boys only one of our players gave you a headache, at least you didn't have to put with the opposition screaming for a foul every time there was some contact followed by shouts for a yellow card, or shouting handball every time the ball went above waist height and went close to one of our players. Don't get all defensive when someone responds to your one eyed dribble on a public forum.HFC wrote:Like I said di..head, stirling played well, and if you think the ref had a good game, well you have NFI. ...............and since you brought up whinging, you already won that league a few weeks ago against BOSA when the game was called off.Alinoz_700 wrote:Well, lucky for you boys only one of our players gave you a headache, at least you didn't have to put with the opposition screaming for a foul every time there was some contact followed by shouts for a yellow card, or shouting handball every time the ball went above waist height and went close to one of our players. Never said the ref had a good game, but he had as good a game as any ref did in this league that I've seen this year. We had a player booked last week for an identical challenge to the one you referred to so he was consistent there. A ref missed an obvious penalty..... Nooooo, how could he, I've never seen that before at this level, it's never happened to us before, you must be so hard done by. Your linesman lost all credibility when he called the ball out for a goal kick when it was half a metre inside the line still in play, why would any official be confident in believing any further calls your linesman made?
As for the Bosa incident, you weren't there so your opinion means nothing.

Titans v Budapest???
Interesting reading from onthemound's report of the Vipers v Hawks game in the Sat Div 2 thread......
With Comets and Vipers losing this week, Hawks and Uni winning, it creates some major breathing space for the two top sides, most likely now to be promoted. Unfortunately, pretty obvious now that Breakers are going down to div 3. Great club, nice people. Will miss the annual trip to Victor if this is the case. Never too late though.

Re: Saturday results
Very good game against Lion yesterday at Grange. We were definitely confident that we could go the distance in this game but there were definitely periods of the game when Lion had us under the pump. They looked like the side that everyone suggested pre-season would be challenging for the league.
Biggest complaint of the day was the long walk to the bar because we had to play on the far pitch for some reason.

5CT
Budapest 3 Titans 1
Titans 5 Budapest 2
Titans 5 Vipers 2
Game of two halfs in the seniors. We dominated possession in the first half but didnt convert our chances. More even in the second half but Budapest made the most of their chances and are deserved winners.
In the ressies it was the usual BS refereeing but we got the points.
Well done to our C's have been playing very well recently and have improved immensly since the start of the year.

5cougars good result for u boys as the over rated comets are just that or did you out coach them ?
Re: Saturday results
Cougar I was at the Vipers v's Hawkes game on the weekend. Those two vipers players are a disgrace to their club. Bunch of sore losers! Hawkes deserve the win, more chances played better football. Since your lose to the Hawkes you have turned your season around. Well done to you and your boys.

Re: Saturday results
Top result for the club! Have beaten Vipers, Comets, Titans in our last 4 games with a draw in between. No!! Definitely didnt out coach them Johnny Politis from the Comets is a top coach, real club man (even works in the kitchen, setting up the ground), absolute and utter gentleman (unlike myself). I just think my boys wanted it a lot more yesterday. We were very physical and clinical in front of goal. Played 0 to 90 mins with our heart on our sleeves... real Cougar spirit..... Thanks 9mm. The loss against the Hawks in Round 10 was the lowest point we have been at this year. A major club meeting, cleansed the squad (removed all negativity- including 2 quality players who think are too good), 3 great inclusions and a plea to my squad to go out every Saturday and virtually kill themselves to win.... and we have been rewarded with some good victories. We now move into 5th place and are now on the Comets and Vipers tail. PROUD TO BE A COACH OF THE CLUB I LOVE!!! GO YOU COUGARS!!!MA Hawker wrote:5cougars good result for u boys as the over rated comets are just that or did you out coach them ?
PS- Congratulations to the Hawks. One club we love to play against, and mingle with after the game. You SO deserve promotion to Division 1 and 2011 is looking like the one for you guys! Excellent bunch of lads, from the players to the gentleman that work tirelessly off the pitch. Have a very good network of people at the Hawks and promotion will be very well deserved.... dont be complacent now!!! Bury the sides ahead of you and celebrate!!!

Re: Saturday results
5CT well done on your recent form as I have mentioned in another thread. Got to see the Hawks for the first time this season and even though the score was close (3-2) the Hawks were a level above the Vipers. The Hawks score could of been greater with more clinical finishing. They hit the crossbar and post both in the second half but finally got the winner they deserved in the end.5cougarsthanx wrote:Top result for the club!
