On the other hand anything but a Win for the Downs & there 2011 Season is OVER!!! And they need many results to go there way inc. PONTIAN away!!
Out of the Cup 1str Round!!! And only holding onto a slim hope in the League, 7 points behind!!!
And yes lippy that was all in the past

Nugget if Gardens win Sunday the title is over so would be great to see the Downs get a win on home soil...

You haven't lost many of late so who knows what could happen if you do after that.
We are Liverpool Football Club and the expectations are so high.

sirstevieg In the Last 2 years Gardens have 35Wins, 4Draws & only 2 Losses...

So I wouldn't be betting the house on that happening....

Cobwebs's post is just down to logic....Gardens may or may not lose this weekend, but either way, they are one game closer to their next loss.....

I don't gamble and I am not really into "predicting" results....but you would get some good odds
It's not about odds, it's about....an analogy....each year we all get year closer to our own deaths !
You seem to have hedged your bets quite well NUGGETT....if Gardens win, you'll have a laugh and offer a good serve of stirring from Thailand.
If Downs win, you will just shrug your shoulders and say, "well Gardens are still 4 points clear of the Downs...who cares" !
Good position to be in mind you !!
Still 18 points up for grabs...3 each week ! Even if you don't lose another game this season you could still miss out.
I experienced this recently when my English team Huddersfield went for 27 games at the end of the season undefeated but still missed out on promotion.

Horses that lose a lot usually can drop in class and lose some weight on its back (handicap races) etc, so its not unusual for horses with a bad patch to get up, sometimes at reasonable odds.

Hang in there Swanny Huddersfield will be promoted next season and deservably so they have been thereabouts for the last few seasons and I reckon they will win it next year. As a Saints supporter however I can't say I'm to disappointed with last year.

And to all the window licking mongs out there - no one's going to look silly which ever team wins on the weekend. There's still a long way to go before anyone takes the prize and there's plenty more than Gardens and the Downs chasing the cherry and at the end of the match the Gardens crowd will be in drinking your ale after the game win lose or draw.

Weight can stop a train, tactics play a major role in any event, seems Nuggett is trying to put weight on our back with last chance suggestions. With Freddy out and Stam away the onus will be on Pauly to carry the load, one might suggest Nuggett, that the weight is on Parafields shoulders. Not ours. Your like a prizefighter talking up his chances before the fight. Though you would still be bleating even when your left flat out on the canvas. In saying that have a good holiday and will catch up after you get back.
