Atleast he got to make a few appearances for Liverpool. Terribly sad for him and his family that his son is ill but he is in the best financial position to facilitate his recovery. He was honestly never up to the standard required and we should have been either bringing in a more experienced pro or blooding gulacsi. Downing looks like a good signing though, not so sure about Doni, heard he has been a shadow of his former self since his knee injury. Top four is a genuine possibility, would not be suprised to see us cause a few upsets this year and maybe even come close to the title, won't know untill we start playing though. A leftback would be nice but we do have plenty of cover in this region Johnson,Robinson, Kelly, Flanagan, Insua, Agger, Carragher and Aurelio can all play leftback to a degree.
Hopefully Pacheco gets a few games this year or loaned to a top flight team.
