come on
Yeah, I think Blotto might have been talking about the 20 "spectators" that invaded the pitch all at the same time in a coordinated manner... you know, the random ones that came to watch a game at Mt Barker for the first time 3/4 of the way through the season...
oh yeah, apparently they ALL came from interstate too. just random though
The referee & witnesses have both stated that it was 3-4 BESA supporters who were invovled in the assualt.
The police were called 5-10 minutes before the Bashing;
Why didn't Senior BESA Officials, Club Marshals or just the good BESA supporters not go over by the culprits & try to calm the situation ?
Why then did they allow them to run onto the ground & attack the referee ?
Why did they allow the bashing to continue for minutes as the witnesses have stated ?
Why has the Club tried to play the victim & why have they not cooperated with the Police & the SAASL stating it was a random person not known to the Club ?
Why has BESA had 3-4 other identities ?
Why has BESA no right to Appeal ?
All of the above....

What I was saying was IF the legal eagles tell SAASL they can't keep them out ..... only then look at other requirements that would need to be put in place.
Bond: Not just 'a' bond, SAASL tried that this time & I think I read that Besa have forfeited their bond (obviously wasn't big enough to make them really care). Make it a 'massive' bond, $10k or something.
Police: Of course the police have better things to do. Besa would have to pay for a police presence. Do you think the police come to Adelaide United games because they are just being helpful?
Extra conditions: Club officials required to give a personal guarantee to cover any fines levied against the club. Set some agreed 'massive' fines for pitch invasions, assaults, vandalism, etc.

Perhaps so that some other ref doesn't get hospitalised when the "friends" of the "innocent" players ... sorry meant to say "interstate visitors that no-one knows" ... start hanging around again?

GIAE, I'm sure it's Bomber that's the clown .... therefore +2 ...... from me.
No one should make the mistake of thinking that the outrage on here after the ref attack was about revenge.
It wasn't. It was about justice. And that means the rule of law, not vigilante action.
Therein lies the mark of our democratic heritage.

but bomber only reported it, not condoned it. So, it would make no sense for it to be him.

I report a "rumour", and suddenly I am a ?
Thanks Otto, as Hawkesy has clearly demonstrated, I think the clown emoticon should go alongside your user name as a permanent fixture.

Hey Bomber, I apologise if I incorrectly interpreted your post.
I thought you were praising this action as an acceptable act of absolution by that community.
Perhaps you meant to say that you don't condone vigilante behaviour like shooting someone.
Would you like to clarify?
Or will it just end up like last time, with you justifying violence as being an acceptable response & me saying there is no excuse for violence?
Sorry I jumped the gun with the , I hereby withdraw it & await your reply.

Fair enough and your explanation makes sense. Otto, I was merely posting something I heard from an Albanian about what happened to the main instigator, thats all. Not condoning, not not condoning either. Just thought that if true (and I have no reason to believe it isnt true), it would be of interest to all on here. Some may say "poetic justice", others may say its as bad as the initial act, whatever. Make you own minds up.
Cheers
Thanks Bomber, a very even handed response. No clown from me on this one then.
