Arsenal will definitely sell Nasri unless they can convince him to re-sign. They cannot afford to let him go for free this time next year.Ian_Wright wrote:Have read contrasting reports this morning, one saying Nasri has all but signed for Man City 150k per week. Just wish they would sought this shite out so Wenger can sign replacements. Apparantly Cesc has demanded his trasnfer be finalised by the end of the week. No player is bigger than the club and IMO far more experience and world class players have left under Mr Wengers rein ie Henry, Pires, Viera, Overmars, Ljunberg and WE have survived and continuned to qualify for the UCL for 15 years now on the trot - just like United! Not many other European clubs could say that - even you SPUDS you world beaters you! One year WONDERS in the UCL

These rumours etc is just not good for team moral this early on in preseason. It needs to be soughted, Wenger will already have replacements on his radar, get them in and ready for the year ahead.
Come on Wenger get it happening

Perhaps they are just holding out to get as much money as possible? Surely they would not risk him going on a free next year!!??

Gibbs really isn't that much worse than Clichy.. If anything i think he'll end up alot better!
Fabio is more of a terrier, but lacks the maturity of Smalling!

Clichy gone, frenchman waving a flag

RVP going nowhere, esp after signing a contract extension last season

Nasri can go if the $$$ are right
Arshavin only allowed to have had talks with old club Zenit, other than that Wenger will charge top $$$ (for averagness I admit)
Walcott is being tapped up, HE never asked to go anywhere
Lets say 3 of these and add FF to that list were to go, theres quite the kitty there for the club to use.
Wengers last transfer purchase flop was who guys (besides keepers)

Nasri & Cesc wont be easily replaced.
Re: Arsenal 2011/12
The same was said when Veiera and more recently Flamini left. We already have Denilson and Song who can play the anchor. Wilshere is a ready made attcking midfielder. With the kitty, just a little more class in needed, not much but a little more than Wilshere. Either this or a top class striker to partner RVP would suffice.getborn wrote:true BUT theres also a gaping hole in your squad.Chaos wrote:Ok I will bite,ronaldo07 wrote:Clichy is leaving ..

Re: Arsenal 2011/12
If we buy another striker RVP will drop into the Cesc role (he preferes this role) Jack the Lad can alos play further up the park if needed. Wenger should be offering that role to Samir and he might convince him to stay as he also prefers this role.
Barca still need to come up with the $$$ thou as I cant see Wenger budging on his valuation.

Attacking has never really been a problem at Arsenal though.
How are they shaping up defensively?
Denilson, Squillaci, and even Koscielny are really average.
I assume you're starting defensive lineup is
sczczczczczczney ( don't know how to spell it)
Sagna,Verm,Djorou, Gibbs
Song
That might be fine, but who are the players that'll back them up?
Are these not areas that need more focus?

Re: Arsenal 2011/12
Couldnt agree more with you! BUT if we loose Cesc & Samir that is a big hole in our attacking department hence why replacing them will be just as important. This is why Mr Wenger needs to get a hurry on with what ever plans he has... Unless this once again is British bullshite tabloidsLitmanen wrote:Attacking has never really been a problem at Arsenal though.

God we have been thru this every summer since Viera was linked to Madrid many a year ago then followed with Henry year after year, more recent years Cesc and now Samir.

Re: Arsenal 2011/12
I think we'll get cahill, coyle is desperate for some spending money and Cahill has 12months left on his deal and wants to play CL. Coyle's holding out for his full 17m buy clause but is seemingly getting more desperate. In a couple of weeks we'll come in and offer 10-12m and Bartley on loan in the hope he'll take it rather than lose him for nothing, unless of course they manage to get him to extend.

Re: Arsenal 2011/12
Apparently Bolton are in allot of debt, so dont know if he will be spending......

Bolton have signed a centre half late yesterday in aid of being prepared for Arsenals supposed raid for GC.......Ian_Wright wrote:Apparently Bolton are in allot of debt, so dont know if he will be spending......

From a little more reliable source than most, the daily mirror "supposedly" heard first hand, inside info that Arsene Wenger will launch a 27mil pound bid in order to get Benzema to the club within hours! All this in an attempt to keep the stars already at the club happy.....
Gotta love the silly season

samba, cahill, gervinho, hazard, retain nasri and i'd be more then happy to have benzema on top
given we had to lb's out on loan last week will be suprised if wenger will by a clichy replacement. also we have ramsey back for this season, frimpong who had a fantastic preseason last year before injuring his knee will prob be used as a cdm back up for song.
please FFS! Wenger instead of risking our decent players get rid of the dead weight in denilson, squilacci, bendtner ect

Re: Arsenal 2011/12
Hazard has basically been declared off limits to all clubs. Liverpooh were apparently told to jog on as the bid for him by the scousers was even weaker than that of tight ass Wenger.Tony Adams wrote:would love it but wont be happening, cant see AW breaking his buyin record by that much.Chaos wrote:From a little more reliable source than most, the daily mirror "supposedly" heard first hand, inside info that Arsene Wenger will launch a 27mil pound bid in order to get Benzema to the club within hours! Also on BBC Arsenal still tracking Juan Mata, not to replace Nasri but to play alongside him.....Please stay Nasri

Nah, he'll be going. But I don't think it's the end of the world for you lot. Keeping Fabregas (if you can) should be more of a priority.
Re: Arsenal 2011/12
I think both will go.
Wont do Arsenal any good holding 2 players that really dont want to be there. Would have divicive effect on squad. Maybe already happened last season with Fabregas wanting away.
