case closed. nothing wrong with that pitch, raptors pitch had no grass on it and we didn't care. As for the tackle, that video should be sent the SAASL and a suspension handed out.

Disgraceful BOSA.

that is an absolutly discussing decission to call that game of ,would it happen in the national league(seen worse)no wonder some people call the game soft.I feel that the score should stand and the ref suspended, and also fined for not wearing the appropriate top. Are players allowed to wear rain coats nowadays, and the ref gets money for this pi5S poor effort. Show some balls amatuer league

Haha that footage would appear to tell the story. BOSA = wrong. Ref = wrong. Pitch fine, its a winter sport FFS, and that tackle would have been dangerous in dry conditions. Should send the footage to the SAASL, if they have any guts they'd ban the BOSA tackler and offer the referee some friendly advice...

everyone jump on the "hate bosa" band wagon. Half of the comments on here are from people who weren't even at the game. And if you think you can comment on the conditions from viewing that youtube video you are daft. The only thing that youtube video is good for is commenting on the tackle after half time. As for commenting on the conditions, you had to be at pitch level to see what the conditions were like.

Just to fill in some missed information for everyone. The ref had originally called the game off. So if BOSA didnt want to play in the conditions then they would have gone home there and then. the fact that they wanted to have a crack at playing in the conditions shows more determination then people are giving them credit for. yeh stirling feel hard done by after being 1-0 up at half time. but it was just that. a half-time lead. to say stirling were dominating the game is a load of rubbish. the game was extremely even with both sides creating opportunities, with bosa having alot of the early chances. stirling after winning the penalty and converting it did lift, but they were by no means dominating the match. a replay should happen, and if stirling, and everyone else on here think they are a better team. then they should have no problem beating bosa on their return to stirling. simple as that.

Why do people think BOSA have some sort of strangle hold over the ref? Personally I think it's a terrible refereeing decision - unsure why BOSA is being touted as the bay guy.
Tommy: We've lost Gorgeous George.

Brick Top: Well, where'd you lose him? He ain't a set of fucking car keys now, is he? And it ain't as if he's incon-fucking-spicuous now, is it?

+ 1

and by the looks of that footage from youtube
the ref called the game off immediately after that tackle ( and by the looks of it, warranted a card )
seems weird
if bosa had influenced the ref as others have said here, then why did the second half start ?
surely if the so called pressure from BOSA had worked at half time , then ideally one would think he would of called the game at half time ?

I'm not going to hide behind any screen names and I'm not bothered by the abuse that I'm sure will follow. My name is Joel and I'm the BOSA keeper.

A few facts about the Stirling Vs BOSA game

1- The game was originally called off by the ref due to there being water retained on the pitch and general unsafe conditions. After a few BOSA players lobbied to keep the game on, the decision was reversed on the condition that the conditions did not deteriate any further (only light drizzle at that stage) and that the players saftey was not at risk.

2-After about 25 minutes being played, the scores tied at 0-0 and no team really dominating the other, a BOSA official voiced his concern for player safety and that the game should be called off.

3- A referee can use his discretion to call a game off for any reason he see fit up until (and don't quote me on this) the 70 minute mark. I'm not sure what happens after this time but the games will cease and the scores at that time remain the final score or the remaining time must be played. Not sure.

Look, I get that the Stirling lads are going to be upset at this. In the same situation I would be too. They definitely had an advantage at that stage. But the fact is, there was still a half to be played, and I dont' think many people who have played BOSA this year think that we'd just roll over and die at that stage of a game. We wanted to fight back in that half and that challenge (while poorly executed) was a clear indicator that we weren't going down without giving it our all.

I for one look forward to our rematch as I know all the Stirling lads will be too. And I look forward to the shit we get from your supporters just as much ;). Its a part of what makes this game great.

P.S. what an essay. Shi.t

So wait, the game was originally called off, then the BOSA players lobbied to have it on, and the referee changed his decision. Then at half time, BOSA wanted it off, and the ref called it off... Maybe the ref had a rain jacket on cos there was a BOSA top on underneath!

Ps you forgot to mention that Budapest reserves only had 10 men for the first half (actually someone said it was only 9) and that included a 67 and 69 year old - so maybe they only 10 on the pitch second half (including the old dudes).

... not to mention (but I guess am now ) the three not given clear cut penalties that should have been awarded to Budapest - one player was taken out over a meter inside the box and the Hahndorf referee standing only about 5m away gave it as a free kick outside the box.. go figure!

The report is written for the Courier, the Adelaide Hills newspaper, and as such I can't include every detail of both matches. Also, as a Hills publication, it tends to be slanted toward the Hills teams.

The Budapest reserves started with 10 players in the 1st half, had 11 in the second until one of the players walked off five minutes from the end. The old fellas played well, especially George, I think, your right back. As I said before, I can't mention everything and I do forget at times, it is hard to take notes and play as well.

As for referee decisions, sometimes you get them, sometimes you don't. There is enough critcism of club refs on this forum so who would want to be one? We had a good penalty call turned down at your ground, but that happens. I don't remember 3 penalty calls, one was probably there but the way some of the players were falling over at the slightest touch, the ref was bound to be sceptical.

There was a bit going on from both sides plus conditions were not the best, I think the result was a fair reflection of the game. And it is a game, there are no sheep stations on the line, we are all just trying to get a kick and have a bit of fun.

Finally, feel free to write up your clubs matches, more clubs should.

Hey petulantmagpie,

Wasnt having a major winge ... the Hahndorf game reports are very well written and generally seem very fair.. ( i was told that there were only 9 player 1st half 10 2nd in the reserves though).

Also I happen to know the ref for the reserves game and he is a top class guy (still should have been three penalties though.. even considering the conditions  ) but that doesnt matter .. like you said its not for sheep stations and really the Hahndorf players are a good bunch of guys.. plus you had to put up with the supporters although some pretty serious eye candy there they were pretty loud .. but that also probably helped spur Buda 'A's back into the game.

'Stirling because they cant win anywhere else' hmmmm interesting comment there. let's look at the mighty Aces' last 3 weeks. a 3-1 win (admittedly at home to Modbury) and then a 3-0 win AWAY to Iggies, and then a 2-0 win AWAY to Saints.
Clearly our club is in top form, to suggest that we have no chance of winning the title is ridiculous and to 'look at our position on the table' as if we're doing really badly. we are sitting in 4th, only 6 points off top, and beating Bosa, if that would have eventuated, would have put us equal third. not too bad in Div 1 douche bag.
And I love how all the Bosa players are talking as if we didn't stand a chance of winning even when we were 1-0 up at HT at home. We were 1-0 down against you blokes at your place, and ended up getting a 1-1 draw, very unfortunate not to get the three points after some top chances in the second half. If you don't wanna rate the Aces, do so at your own peril. Hell, look at our depth, we have 4 teams all in with a chance of the title, and our B's have a very real chance of doing the Cup/League double.

Sssshh! Actually we're rubbish.
The opposition just have to turn up & play in their track pants & they will probably win.
Note to all our future opponents: You won't even have to train in the week leading up to playing us.

No, unfortunately we could only get 7 or so players up to One Tree Hill last weekend and had to forfeit. The club has a slew of injuries and illness, like many other clubs, and we were short last week.
