It's hard to take when the ref seems so biased mate........I think there's nothing wrong with venting your frustrations on here at all.....better here than there IMO.

For a second time.........don't know what happened there

Southern Knights ( 3 ) Beograd ( 2 )
Ben Jones, Steve Maguire, Anthony Rideout
Alen Travica, Bojan Stegnajic

Southern Knights displayed good character to come back from a 1-2 deficit and down to 10 men to win against Beograd today.
Ben "Touch" Vidgeon stepped into the goalkeeping spot again with a great display after having played a full game in defense for Knights Reserves....some telling saves in the second half.
Former Knights keeper Juliano played well between the sticks for Beograd and kept them in the game in the first half. Knights initially went behind when Beograd were awarded a penalty for handball and stretched the lead to 0-2 when they scored a well taken goal from what many thought may have been offside.
Ben Jones scored for Knights in the first half and Steve Maguire levelled midway throught the second half from the penalty spot. Anthony Rideout, who came on from the bench, scored an excellent goal to give Knights the lead with about 8 minutes to go.
Thanks to all the Beograd lads that came in for abeer and chips after the game...best of luck for the rest of the season.

Reserves
Southern Knights ( 7 ) Beograd ( 0 )
Dustin McMahon 2, Paul Thompson 2, Jason Rusk 2, Paul Uzzell

A huge turnaround for Knights Reserves from a 0-6 loss against Raptors to a 7-0 win against Beograd today...a great team effort and some nice football to watch from the sidelines.

West Beach 1 (M Hannah 91min) Pontian Eagles 2 (A Matteo 20min , C Alves 75 min) ......
West Beach hit the bar and the post and had more chances in the 2nd half.

Only 1 x yc .....game played in a good spirit.

Gardens 2 - fulham 1

Fulham did well to give itself a chance and were 1 nil down at half time.

Fulham were not played off the park by any stretch of the imagination and when fulham went 2-0 down picked itself up and came at the gardens hard for the last 20.

A cracker by Alex mechis made it 2-1 and fulham had a chance or 2 pinch a point but didn't.

Sets up a huge game next week against florina.

bigpond are you serious??? While ill grant you not completely played of the park, you guys didnt look like scoring and to be honest i rekon Stammy wld be dissapointed he didnt deal with the strike from mechis alot better. To say you had a chance to pinch a point is absolute garbage, I have gr8 respect for Lawrie but seriously you guys are just above poor, which astounds me given some of the talent you have there. 2 nil was a fair score line and on balance of possesion and play wld argue it cld have been more, id say that you were lucky to only get a -1 goal difference. Good luck next week hope you have a win

B'
Gardens 3 - fulham 0

Missed penalty in the 1st 5 mins by fulham didn't help and 0-0 at half time.

2nd half gdns took there chances but IMO wasn't a 3-0 scoreline

C's

Fulham 2 - gardens 1

Keeps the pressure on east and fulham 1 pt off the pace in 2nd.

Very good performance from your first team, still I thought the lions defenders once again stood up. Considering the boys we lost last year, that back four + keeper is made up of four reserves and a first teamer from last season, doing themselves proud IMO.

Very good passers of the ball though Blue Eagles, just need to get your coach to lighten up a bit, stroppy bastard!

Ventured up to the ski slope today to watch Farm v Downs.

Tough hard physical game from both sides with a cracking first goal by Farm to level the scores just after the break.

Must say Kymbo had a bit of a shocker when he didn't take control early on when he ran over to book a Farm defender rather than the goalkeeper for the first half penalty.

There were some willing challenges from both sides, some punished and others let go with eventual evener-uppers. Even heard a comment about a game from 3 years ago! Go figure!

Lachlan was lucky to stay on the pitch with a challenge even a BESA supporter would of been proud of.
Nathan too for retaliation along with Downs Center back. Luckily for all Kymbo had left his red at home.

But funniest thing seen all day was the Mum of young Farmer Luke getting her panties in a knot because Morrison was trying to show him how he played the game. GOLD.

To the boys on the BBQ, great food and drink but might wanna dose up some parents food and drink with a teaspoon of concrete

Every1 is entitled to there opinion but your 1st goal was lucky cos in my opinion the guy didn't strike it properly and it looped into the top corner.

The fulham goal was a cracker and I was right in line with it and off the boot it looked like it was in all the way.

I didn't say we deserved to win but we did create enough half chances in the last 20min after we scored that if we got a point I wouldn't have thought it would have been an injustice.

If you are saying we are just above poor and we lost 2-1 away from home to a title contender that is not saying much about Gardens performance but you got the points and well done.

We will be up for it next week against Florina as I know you would like nothing more than for us to beat Florina.

Have to say the C Team ref in the Gdns v Fulham game (who ran the line in the 1st team game) was excellent and as fair as you could want.

The B Team ref wasn't the worst I have seen but how someone can get punched in the face and only get a yellow is a little beyond me.

Yeah he never lightens up, lol. He loves his football and takes it very serious. I would agree that you defended well and your keeper had some great saves. We are still 2 forwards short from our starting 11 too.

We counted three times where he cracked a smile! Yeah it's fun and games, but of banter and as long as it stays on the field (as it did with this gentleman) then it's great fun. Good luck for the season, see you later in the year!

PS: please tell the idiot number 6 in the Bs to get a hair cut, you can't run your mouth off with hair like that, specially when you only play 10 minutes in the Bs :D
