Football Federation SA can confirm the future of the Elite Boys and Girls programs is safe despite the announcement in The Advertiser today, from the Hon Tom Kenyon MP (Minister for Sport, Recreation and Racing) that funding will be cut from the South Australian State Institute Program for Football.
Funding through the State Institute Program will cease at the end of the financial year in 2012, at which point funding will be delivered through the Statewide Enhancement Funding Program through the Office for Recreation and Sport.
The Elite Boys and Girls programs will be handed to Football Federation SA as a National Training Centre in partnership with the State Government and Football Federation Australia.
