I have it on good authority that State 14's beat Para Hills 16s 3-2

Para Hills 16s beat AC 16 and they are top of the under 16 A Division.

Therefore the worst u/14s team in the state beat the best team in the u/16s, what does that tell you? It tells me that all you AC mob & Jeda should pull your head in and show some respect for the coach and players.

Wouldn't finish in the top few teams in the 16's competition. From what I hear it was just one of those games.

Probably not, but that was my point, one result means nothing. The bigger picture is what matters

The bigger picture is extremely important. Some people on here perhaps need reminding what it actually is.

Surely "Development" also mean "Improvement". Has there been any "Improvement"??

Improvement is part and parcel of development, but the problem lies with how it is quantified.

If the criterion is results, some would say that because A beat B, and B beat C then that proves something.

As Rabbit said, A beat B but it was one of those games. So the result is not the final determinant.

The problem I believe lies with egos. Some clubs seem to want to win at all costs (whether that is playing kids down or kicking the other team off the park), make excuses when they lose, and believe that they must be developing or improving because they are winning.

Results are an indication of the strength of a team, but are the individuals benefiting through improved technique and understanding of the game. Maybe yes, maybe no. All I am saying is that the final score of a game or the final position in the league is only a statistic, the important factor is how the kids played and what they learned from it.

I am more concerned that my sons enjoy the game now and reach their potential in the right environment, not that they play for the so-called ‘best’ team.

This is my opinion and I am entitled to it. Yours Harry ‘Fish n’ Chips’ :)

get u14 state to play Adelaide City 15's and Modbury u15's again. That will determine if there is improvement.
State u14's got smacked heavily last time by these teams.

3-2 CCSC win.
Heard it was good game.
CCSC were fast and strong by all accounts. Some state kids did well, Mace in defence solid, Samed was a pain for the CCSC defence, midfield combinations still need work though.

'Heard' it was a good game, yet you seem to know who played well and that the midfield combo's need work

C'mon 6, just admit you're a Dad of one of the kids, and you were at the game ....
