Converting home videos to DVD
Got a huge year next year with boys turning 18 & 21.
Have a number of 8mm tapes from the camcorder i want to get onto a DVD.
Is it best to do it myself ? (if so help )
or can anyone recommend someone who does this for a living?
Cheers

Re: Converting home videos to DVD
you can by a program that comes with a cable that has an audio and visual out put on one side and a usb on the other. transfer the movie onto you cpu and presto done. you can buy them any where (JB's, dick smith etc) but there about $80

See if these guys can help - www.highlites.com.au
you might be able to get the highlights as well as the tape, and if you video games you could use an iphone to cut it up live.

It really was a plug and play, if he can do it, anyone can.
My old video Camera has shit it self and they want $300 to fix it FKCUEN , now i have about 15 hours of footage, WTF do i do now fix the old camera? or pay someone to convert these to DVD, or does someone have another cheaper alternative?
Re: Converting home videos to DVD
think Harvey Norman can convert...no point fixing an old camera, just spend the money on converting the old tapes and get in the digital agaBADA BING wrote:grumbly wrote:My Dad grabbed something like that from JB's, had all the cables too.

I may be able to help you if you havent had any success as yet......will do it for a lot less than the price of fixing the camera depending on how many you have.....can certainly transfer to dvd for you.Barney Rubble wrote:Got a huge year next year with boys turning 18 & 21.
