Was a pretty nothing game today in the first team. Grove didn't really create too many clear cut chances but neither did we. We probably had the better of the chances & certainly had more possession. It was like neither team wanted to lose, more than wanted to win.
I would say it's 2 points dropped for the east.
Another injury will again test the depth.

Ressies was a domination really. Great football played and grove couldn't match it. East missed a penalty and a couple of one on ones too. Coulda been a lot more.
Are u delirious I only remember 1 goal line clearance for u guys where as grove had 3 missed chances from 3 yards out and as for more possession think u might be pulling your dick to hard

Another 3 points against Asia utd this time for para hills lions!

Asia utd weren't too bad, they lost the plot towards the end though and were just kicking the crap out of us the dirty bastids

You forget us hitting the post from a free kick?? There were a couple of last gasp tackles from your guys. If you call having possession giving us the ball then yeah you did that well. It certainly wasn't a fantastic game. You guys only really had a couple of chances on the break. Certainly wasn't worth pulling my dick over

Unfortuntely the last tackle in the ressies game left one of the florina lads with what seems to be a broken leg. From all the vale lads, we wish him all the best with his recovery and fingers crossed it isn't too bad.

Hey Keegan not sure what game you were at but I think the beach were all over
the garden for 75 mins of the game.
We missed chances to extend our lead but let te lead go in the last 15 mins.
If the garden plays the way it did against the beach form the rest of the season, they will not be champions 2 yrs in a row!

What you forgetting the 3 missed headers and the airy from 6 yards out the grove missed? and yeh your passing game was fantastic kept possession really well hahaha pull the other one.. Thought it was a good game with both sides being unlucky but to think its 2 points dropped to Easties you are kidding yourself it was probably a fair result in the end

Thoughts go out to Matty, a hardworking Raptors player. Was harshly taken done in his defensive area resulting in a broken ankle. Would live to know how the ref didn't even caution the striker for this reckless tackle.

Beach were the much better side yesterday and deserved the points even alot of your supporters thought that it was a heartbreaking day for the beach because we deserved the win. We are struggling with a lot of injuries but our commitment is there. We dominated the game for most of it not bad for a near bottom of the ladder team against the champions

Could say that, there keeper also made 2 or 3 saves late in the game to keep them in it.

All in all we got the 3 points without playing good football, still 3 points :D

probably a fair call mostly coz they were pushing for an equalizer. Definately a good 3 points for vale to keep them at the top end

Downs could have shared the points if not for solid Pontian defense. One way traffic in the second half yet no chocolates. Neither keeper worked too hard. Reserve game threatened to get out of hand, only a masterclass performance from the ref kept the game in check. :P. Cheers to Pontian lads for coming in for a beer after the game.

Ingle Farm V Fulham

A's 3-0
Excellent performance by our guys. Kept the ball well and created lots of chances. The defence has certainly improved and we are slowly starting to look better every week. Fulham's keeper played very well and kept them in it. Fulham certainly created a few chances but some great saves by our GK and a penalty miss by them didn't help their cause. Overall, a great effort. Now for the biggest test of the year. Pontian at Pontian.

B's. 1-2
Created a huge number of opportunities in the second half but missed so many. Fulham scored two spectaular goals to secure the win while our guys just kept blasting them wide. A bit of a turn over in the players playing which never helps but with the quality on the park, we should have done a little better. Well done to Fulham though.

C's 0-1
We ran, chased, harassed but in the end, Fulham's smarts beat us (or their football fantasy brains anyway). We had the better of posssion but struggled when we got the ball forward to do anything constructive with it. Fulham picked a hole and managed to get the winner. Towards the end, I hoped our younger, fitter legs would help us but Fulham did well to hold on to the ball and create some more chances for themselves.

Cheers to the Fulham guys for making the journey and having a drink after the game. All the best for the rest of the year.

Zjelko.. when are your mob going to get up to Div II?

It must be said there is a big jump from div III to div II. Its a tough league. I wish your mob can experience 1st hand how tough it really is... Div 6 must be a breeze....

BGC, been there done that - agree, Div 2 is not an easy league for overweight alcoholics.

Judging by last weekends results, I think our boys will be aiming for Div 7 next year.
