The boys were adamant it was 1-3 when the come to Budapest.

Considering

1. I'm injured &
2. I'm a keeper. It's pretty bloody unlikely they missed my goal :)

That being said, It was definitely 4-1. One of our guys scored a Hatrick and my brother in law scored the other.

heres a video of cougars training/practicing their martial arts skills: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2S9zBhLPCA8
To enticing... had to watch the clip, and it had me rolling around on the ground crying.... good one..... SUPER ITALIA!!!!

But, let me point out, not that I really give a toss about what any club thinks of us, cause you can all go f**k yourselves as far as I'm concerned, but there are two sides to every story. BlackBrian imbecile, quotes about the "rubbish off the ball" but doesnt raise the fact that his no.8 head-butted one of our defenders, fair and square in the face, in front of the ref, that in turn, had him sent off.... hey, I know that the Cougars are far from perfect, but if you are going to report anything, share both sides of the story w--nker :clown:

I edited my original post to make it seem more amusing. My bad. :)

so I take it you saw the free kick your ref gave for the handball that was about 3 or 4 feet inside the penalty area?

We were pretty ordinary in the first half (our finishing woeful). We stepped it up in the 2nd. I think you guys just ran out of legs. Quality goal though by the young Asian fella.

Game was played in good spirits. Nice bunch of blokes you guys have down there.

No worries Franco, you can work out the common denominator, subtraction, addition and multiplication if you like.... and while you are there, the square root aswell. By the way, how many roots have you had lately? By the look of the amount of posts you have had in the last few weeks, it probably equates to none. Between this site and cyber porn, you dont have much time for anything else.

To play my" devils advocate card".........it seems like the finger gets pointed at CC everytime there's some incident.

Besides a general bit of niggle and some sidelines banter..... the game was played fairly except for Uni's central defender who was sent off for.

A. Elbow to the face of a CC striker wich opened him up afer about 20 min, he was cautioned.
b. 10 mins later, the same player landed a head butt which split open a CC midfielders mouth open. (He was sent off).

Go figure!!!!!

Both CC players played on (took one for the team) with no questions asked.

Maybe a coupe of you Uni boys need to Harden the XXXX up little ah!!!

I must say I barely heard anything malicious... Just your regular sideline banter from a few of blokes that had a few too many drinks but definitely nothing threatening and worthy of such a drastic action by the ref.
Go figure...
Yep Ref over reacted in my opinion.....He was a reisling cat whilst the A's was playing...In the B's though he danced on the line and possibly stepped over.
You can hardly blame him after what happened to one of his colleagues recently. I expect more of this with the referees most likely nervous for their safety. And in my opinion rightly so.
I support the Ref, especially after what happened a few weeks ago and after he asked Budapest for a club official to control the guy that was pacing up and down the sidelines (which may have seemed harmless, but was also intimidating), and Budapest went and gave that guy the yellow vest, great move. No wonder the Ref felt vulnrable.

A's - Salisbury Villa 2-1
B's - Wanderers 3-1

Gutsy effort again from Villa who showed great heart and their fighting spirit to get the result despite being reduced to 9 men. Reserves still struggling, and again fade out in the second half despite going into half time all level. With a few players still to return hopefully the reserves can start to get some results over the coming weeks. Great effort by the A's to hold out for the win but suspensions will test their resolve over the next few weeks as they will rely on some reserve players to step up and be accounted for.

+1 if the central defender I'm thinking off he hasn't made many friends this season.

From our point of view it is done and dusted. We got the 3 points by playing football. Yes it was disappointing for our player to get sent off for retaliating against all the dirty and sly stuff which we expected to happen but hopefully he learns and we continue to hurt teams like that by playing them off the park.

Uni are a good team, but will not get promoted this year. And will lose quite comfortably to the hawks. I dont think it was a rough game apart from the head but and elbow. Brian black, instead of posting stuff that instigates arguments, be respectful as we were to your team. We lost to a better team on the day and respected that. You won, and accused us of foul play when infact one of yours was the most agressive and punished for it. Not classy, as im sure you think you are.

Not that I condone for one second what our central defender did and he was deservedly sent off, but in my opinion kidney punches behind play (which happened to most of us throughout the day) is one of the lowest acts on a soccer field. You may consider it clever because it instigated retaliation from our player, thereby having him sent off, whilst your players continued on with this tactic when the refs eyes were turned. Smart? .....Perhaps. Red card incidents if caught.... definitely. However, I think many would agree that this tactic is certainly not in the spirit of the game. To quote BlackBrian "No one minds a hard physical game but the rubbish off the ball and the cheap shots really aren't necessary". We are not whinging about the physicality in the match and we try to give as good as we get in this regard. I'm sure that not everyone in your team employed this 'off the ball' tactic, but for those that did I think it is wrong and there is no place for it in our game. Just the same as there being no place for what our defender did. The player that received the headbutt was definitely unfortunate, given he was not involved in the original instigation and was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, and I think he handled it very well and I'm glad there wasn't any serious damage.

Well said! Excellent attitude to have... one that we also share!

A huge difference between this year (div 2) and last year (div 1), in my opinion, is the reliance of div 2 teams to 'push' opponents off the park rather than 'play' them off the park.

Having now played almost all the teams in this division (7 out of 9), Cougars have probably been no worse than any other team in terms of physicality, tackling etc.
Yes... I did have a few harsh words to say a few weeks ago, but only because no one likes to see teammates grabbed by the throat, punched etc. But really, other than those incidents (involving only two Cougars players) there wouldn't have been much worth mentioning. In fact, they are relatively tame compared to a couple of other teams.

reduced to 9 men? you had a player sent off and your keeper was replaced with another keeper, thats 10.
Reserves was 1 nil at half time, not all level.
Fair play to winning, just a shame one of your fans has some anger issues, trying to start fights and swearing his head off, even worse with kids around.

On the BullXXXX front..........I'd imagine you'd see worse on a netball court so as i said before.....
Maybe a coupe of you Uni boys need to Harden the XXXX up little ah!!!

So don't come on here bagging the opposition when you guys looked the biggest twats.

On the Football front..........I agree Uni outplayed Cougars and were well organised under DB, no doubt the better team.
IMO from what i have seen of them in the last 4 years probably there weakest......no better than any of the top 4 teams in this div and would struggle big time in Div 1.

One sent off in the first half and one in the second champ. 11 - 2 = 9 last time I checked. Keeper replaced due to injury and nothing to do with the players that were sent off. Apologies for the incorrect score for the reserves match at half time although I'm not sure why it really matters either way.

As for your claims regarding one of our fans, I didn't see or hear anything of that nature besides the usual banter. A bit disappointing that you would even mention such a thing when I think you would struggle to watch any game at any level without hearing people swear. If someone was trying to start a fight then this is a different issue that I and the club don't condone, however given the fact that I watched the whole game from the touchline I can say I didn't hear anyone trying to start a fight unless of course they were whispering.

Given the recent events involving BESA I think it is important for us all to remain vigilant in regards to violence but I also think we need to remain calm and not go and publicly try to soil a club's name or that of it's supporters at the drop of a hat. We are a very family orientated club with many of the player's kids playing on the junior pitch next to us on the same day as our home games. Wives, girlfriends, parents and grandparents all attend our games and the vibe is always pleasant besides the usual banter.

I will bring to your attention that during the reserves game I could hear a constant yelling and swearing coming from the touchline on the wanderers end. Twice during the game I looked over to see a small bold Phil Collins lookin' fella screaming and swearing at the ref as well as at our players. I wouldn't have mentioned this if you didn't raise the issue because unlike yourself I saw your fans actions for what they were and that was general banter regardless of how annoying it was. I found the abuse he was giving us and the ref to be quite amusing just for the simple fact that he was a wee Phil Collins lookin' fella and I'm a big fan, however, if I wasn't a Phil Collins fan I may have taken some of his comments as fighting words and gone over and a had a word back. This brings me to my point.....

People that live in glass houses shouldn't grow dope because the walls are made of transparent glass!

Or....

Build a mighty bridge so you and Phil can get the fruc over it and distinguish between what is crowd violence and what is general banter. Peanut!
