Just my opinion but wouldn't it better served judging a best XI based on a player's effectiveness and contribution to his teams cause, if not you may as well name the best club team in Europe...Man Utd or Barcelona?

van Bommel at 2 clubs this season, was solid at Bayern, and then even more so at Milan...I didn't pick him though, but yes, Boateng was a revelation
