AC-Cumby: incredible result IMO, and the scoreline could have been higher... Cumby have some serious work/re-thinking to do.
It's hard to believe that with all those "stars" they can still be outclassed. And AC missed some key players too (S. Scalzi, Chi Chi May). Obviously bringing in all the players that they did was not the right way to go for Cumby. What's actually wrong at Cumberland??? Balomenos, Slater, Calder, Fimmano, Trimboli, Harrison...what do you need more to actually win? :? Seriously, if they don't win the league with this team...

I dont think they can get a winning "TEAM" together in a short space of time. It will probably take weeks if not months of playing together. (read ManCity/Chelsea etc).

From what I saw of the reserves (for both) there is clearly some up and coming talent there so the quick fix approach may not materialise.

All based on my opinion of course.

must've watched a diff game. Balomenos missed 1 v 1 and hit the post in the first half and city put their chances away. Good game considering the conditions. As for all the "stars" people have an off day but i thought fimmano was ok in the middle considering it was her first game, slater was quiet but did score, Calder bog, trimboli made 1 decent save but was not at fault for any of the goals (plus keepers aren't stars) Harry was a little down today and Vic was ok on the first half but after that city werw keen on just pulling her shirt. I am a harsh critic on women's football but left today impressed by both sides to play a fairly high tempo game in that type of weather.

What a joke.
Another one of those FFSA things gone bad.

AC-Cumby - heard it was well deserved. Agree with those saying Cumby should really do better. Can't really justify results like that with such a line up. There are some pretty unhappy ppl that will just be even less happy...Olympic remain "the" team IMO.

TOG....dont recall seeing that player on any team sheet, but by my calculations that makes her South Adelaides leading goalscorer this season

Personally, I don't see an issue with a team in the rebuilding phase getting done, swings and roundabouts really.
I don't think it necessary to go that hard on any team even if you are capable of it though.
let some players get their hat-tricks etc but 10 to one player is BS (no disrespect to the player) I think it is a coaching decision.

What was gained GD? pfft.

What was the red card for?
How exactly do you get carded in a 20-0 game?

So what your saying is that a player can kick 3 goals and then you have to bench them???

um ok... What happens if you have already made all your changes...what do you do then....
Its not like she hogged the ball at all she assisted in some of the other goals that were scored as well...
Panthers just didnt have a very good game at all today...They had a few chances but did not put them away... They are a young team and hopefully they will prevail and get stronger

Ruthie got 2 yellows...

One for disent ( or however you spell it.) and one for kicking the ball into the goals after the whistle was already blown...

I think the ref gave out about 7 yellow cards...

Where as the ref in the reserves game didnt bother to pull any out whatsoever and resulted unfortuneately with a girl from south adelaide getting taken out in a not so very nice fashion....I hope she makes a quick recovery..

Not at all but perhaps move some players around. I am sure with the calibre of players in the team it would have been hard not to find a multiple goal scorer, but I have seen it done I have done it, but unless you know the circumstances at the time as suggested you can't simply sub them.

Well when the league is determined with goal difference that will happen. If the league is determined on head to head meetings when level on points, that could avoid this situation in the future. Question remains will we be down to a 6 team Premier League again?

Quite a predictable result really. City well organised, play as a well drilled team and Eduordo is a superior tactical and technical coach, no reflection on the Cumby staff, just a fact from records.
However awesome lineup Cumby now have, still time to turn it around and will be expecting a comfortable win this week against Olympic who sounds like will be without Wallace with a red card.
More surprising probably was the Reserves losing to City although City Reserves coach like Eduordo was always was a very good tactical and technical coach.

Not trying to take anything away from City, but Cumby looked like they were trying a new formation in the first half, and it obviously didn't work too well for them!

Cumby came out stronger in the second half and had a few early chances, but to no avail... City were lucky to hold the 2-0 I think, Im not saying Cumby would've won the game, but they were unlucky not to get at least one goal back!
