Best and Worst Strips 2011
So a new season, and quite a few clubs have new strips, so some are in need of a change
Write down who you think has the best, or worst for 2011!
Worst
Fulham - Horrible stripes plus a gold number you cant see
Sturt Marion Away Strip - Orange and blue isnt a pretty look!
Best
Ad Hills - Both home and away looks good
Flinders Home - White and light/dark blue looks good

I don't just want to have my cake and eat it, I want to go back for cheesy biscuits and tiramisu.

Re: Best and Worst Strips 2011
Not keen on Fulhams - Agree that numbers are hard to read unless up close... Kind of reminds me or prison uniforms too
Also not being picky but this is my OCD kicking in - Yesterday at the Cup game Fulham obviously being the home team wore their home strip being black/white top, black shorts HOWEVER wore black socks which is not what they have listed as their home strip with FFSA.... Of course City rocked up in their away kit which also had black socks thus meaning a clashing of socks!!!
Not a big deal except to us OCD'ites but eh... Just felt like adding another unless fact in hehehe!!!
Seaford Div 1 Strip is old school - I think the branding is SSL/SSI and they are white with blue/red on sleeves... Pretty sure they are similar if not same as the old Noarlunga Districts tops... Very old school 1980's shirts and they looked massively huge on the players. I'm sure they had a strip last year that had some yellow in it that looked much better?!!?
Do OUT still wear puple cotton t-shirts?!

Re: Best and Worst Strips 2011
Doubt the ref would do much anyways - most clubs change tops only and that's enough to let the game continue... Looking at the directory thats the way most teams are too (changing tops only)....
Some teams can be very particular about making sure the tops and socks dont clash so to then prepare and read that ur opposition wears white socks and they turn up in the same colour as you would be fair annoying lol!
Saying that the new black Fulham socks are nice!!!

Nah, look like proper strips now, still purple with some white writing on them, black shorts and red socksSuper_Trooper wrote:

Re: Best and Worst Strips 2011
I reckon the Seaford tops are the same as the England Tops around 2000. They are from the same stable as Admiral which also did the shirts for the English cricket team. Yes they are the old Noarlunga Lions tops, which at the time were ordered to fit the players individually with their numbers. ( the shorts were pretty big though). There were 4 sets of them, maybe all the smaller ones are worn out. (or players have shrunk). lol.
On the brighter side of socks clash, at least one would be wary who one kicked could be a team mate lol.
I agree the Fulham numbers are hard to see, the socks do have some white in them. But should have been picked on by ref.
Seems a bit pedantic to be judging strips though.
