This statement from the E&D website leaves me feeling a bit odd...
EDJSA is starting the Andrews Farm Junior Soccer Club this season and any player living in this area wishing to transfer to this Club will be given favourable consideration.

I will have a go at what I think is wrong and detrimental to the development of our sport, no matter who or what it is.

Its an old policy from day one that was never intended one would think to give clubs an unfair advantage. I would be surprised if MV & TTG would use it unfairly besides seeing some of the things that E&D come up with to vote on it could be a good thing. At least we dont fight each other like fed clubs do to get an advantage over each other.

not to mention the abuse that the FFSA allows to go on from crowd, parents and some coaches at junior games. The Wise Monkey wrote:lefty wrote:Its an old policy from day one that was never intended one would think to give clubs an unfair advantage. as well as allowing coaches off with little more than a please explain when they go off at a ref, but then he was a junior co-ordinator, suposed that helped
the FFSA should not only copy the E&D policy on code of behaviour they should learn how to inforce it.
the FFSA would be bloody rich in the first year if they actually done he fines & got them paid

maybe they can fund the running of their system instead of trying to do the other comps
Re: Why is Andrews Farm soccer club in Elizabeth Field?
Here we go again bag the other association. Ive been in both worlds so don't come on here and tell me parents and coaches dont have a go at refs in E&D because they do, Ive seen it and as Ive said before on here the only ever sideline fight Ive seen at a junior game was at a referee's cup game. FFSA are not perfect and they sure as hell know it but belive it or not nor is E&D and its about time some of you realise that.

Funny how every topic I ever start on E&D ends with the same mud slinging Prefly... I think people need to learn to get along better.
Re: Why is Andrews Farm soccer club in Elizabeth Field?
hail the great FFSA don't dare comment on any areas that fall short, do the powers at be really take any notice, I think not.prefly wrote:Here we go again bag the other association. I don't see the FFSA have any real system that they actually support they allow clubs to have changerooms that are used as public toilets or store rooms just look at WAB last year the kids had to change outside as the away room was full of tables.
E&D at least have a system of rating a club on the way they perform, they even have a system where the refs award points to the club for recognision of how they do things to get game day run smoothly on and off the park.
do FFSA even do random card checks? I know first hand the head of E&D was doing spot checks un-announced at numerous clubs for 10 year olds not just relying on clubs to be getting it right.
feel free to enlighten all of your version.

The topic was
Why is Andrews Farm soccer club in Elizabeth Field?
Not sure how FFSA came into it again...
I for one have no interest in reliving the old arguments about one versus the other, the most pressing part of my point was the E&D's direct involvement in creating a new club at their headquarters when there seemed to be ample clubs in the region to cater for the demand...

Re: Why is Andrews Farm soccer club in Elizabeth Field?
No it wasn’t random, we did a card check at every game last year - at every single game! No drama at alldo FFSA even do random card checks?

Re: Why is Andrews Farm soccer club in Elizabeth Field?
Just to let a few people in on the know.
Andrews Farm have topped the 100 players mark.Current 2011 season will submit 8 teams to the competition.Andrews farm as a suburb is fast growing and there was a need to allow children from the surrounding area a place and a chance to actively participate in sport. No other reason--no judgement-no stealing players--no voting powers--no politics.
Yes, we are at Kalara reserve until we find either new grounds( I rather like it there) or until EDJSA move on.Currently we PAY an amount to use the facilities,no free ride with money coming from sausage sizzles and fund raising by all at the club.
You can say that kids will go to munno, downs, gawler, angle vale, one tree hill if we didnt exist, but we do and in that we have close relationships with the surrounding clubs and apreciate their helping us out on MORE then one occasion( thanks christine, ray).

Re: Why is Andrews Farm soccer club in Elizabeth Field?
Andrews Farm Junior Soccer Club have now over 130 players. The Fields surrounding Kalara Reserve has very quickly been developed with many children attending the new local schools. There was and is a need to allow these kids a safe, close sporting facility in the North. Most other clubs within the six k radius have formed close ties with afjsc and their players. Is it that a little competition from the blue jays can only encourage a better game.
Come down to the club on Saturdays to see what we can acheive with like minded parents and volunteers, who put in endless hours for the kids.EDJSA lease the grounds and rooms to afjsc,no free ride for them.Eight teams competing each week also add a small amount into the coffers.
give us/them a break.
