Real Madrid v Barcelona

Post by Le King »

This is going to be a cracking tie
I rkn Madrid have too much fire power and the loss of Iniesta is a big one, it will affect the supply to Messi and Villa
Tactically Mourinho is a genious and jst like last season with Inter Milan, he will have Barca sorted, always pressing them and applying pressure jst like in the Copa Del Rey.

Mourinho said: "I told my players there was someone called Albert, Albert Einstein, who said that there is a force more powerful than steam, electricity and atomic energy - will. And this guy Albert was not stupid.''

Pep lost it in the press conference dropping the F bomb a few times

Im going for 2-0 Madrid in the 1st leg

Couldn't believe that interview. Mourinho and his mind games, not even someone like Pep is immune. Apparently they were mates... Not anymore :!:

as spoken by pep..........

Tomorrow at 8.45 we will play a match on the field," Guardiola said. " Outside of the field, he has won the entire year, the entire season and in the future [it will be the same]. He can have his personal Champions League outside the field. Fine. Let him enjoy it, I'll give him that. But this is a game. When it comes to sport we will play and sometimes we will win, sometimes we will lose. We are happy with smaller victories, trying to get the world to admire us and we are very proud of this.

"I can give you an immense list of things [that we could complain about]: 300,000 things. We could remember Stamford Bridge and another thousand things but I do not have that many people working for me. Secretaries and referees and people writing stuff. So tomorrow, 8.45pm, we will take to the field and we will try to play football as best as possible.

"In this room [Real Madrid's press room], he is the chief, the fucking man. In here he is the fucking man and I can't compete with him. If Barcelona want someone who competes with that, then they should look for another manager. But we, as a person and an institution, don't do that. I could talk about [Olegario] Bequerença [the referee from last season's Barcelona-Inter semi-final first leg], about the offside goal from Diego Milito or the penalty of [Dani] Alves, but I don't. Well, until tonight!

"If you think after three years, that I always moan, always make excuses and always complain, then there is nothing I can do about that.

Seemed like Madrid was playing for a 0-0 draw and try and get a score draw in nou camp
didnt see that result coming
Barca pretty much got this in the bag

Great to see some spark back in the el clasico

Wasn't a great game of football but intruiging it was, all the usuall drama and theatrics that is expected.

game changed massively when Pepe got sent off, he pretty much had negated Messi up till that point.

Gee for a while thought I was watching the Golden Globe Awards so much acting out on the park.

Time for FIFA to bring in trial by video to pick up the simulation.

Best team won at least they tried to win the game.

Anyone care to still argue the Messi vs Ronaldo argument........

No point, the little man will possibly be the greatest of all time. What a goal the second one was. He always chips in when it counts.

Game was ruined when Pepe was sent off. It wasn't even a red card offence.

It was embarrassing to see Alves rolling around like he'd been shot and to see every other Barca player swarm the ref, demanding a red card.

As Man Utd fan I want the return leg to be just as fiery as this match. Suspensions and injuries can only help our campaign.

Mourinho is a lunatic! I haven't seen the post match press conference but I've read what he said and he'll probably get the book thrown at him by UEFA.

Messi is the only player that can be compared to Diego.

having said that, i would like to see Messi marked the same way Diego was.

Not much wrong with either, after all the tackle looked at first glance in real time to be shocking and the players who complained where directly hehind Pepe which made it look worse.

Shocking game!

All the rolling around whenever anyone went near each other was a nightmare to watch.
I would love to see some of these wimps get really smashed by a real hard man!

Acting like this is what gives our sports detractors all the ammo they need.
I hope whoever they play in the final smashes them!

He is a once in a generation player the little man.

God bless his parents and thank you to them for providing us with the pleasure of watching a genius at work.

Hardly complains, comes up with the goods week in week out, never gets sent off (i dont think so anyway..). Best and fairest player out there.

That's because he avoided going near the ball.

Taped the game, re-watching it again. Both team playing the dives, but Barca players grabing their faces on nothing tackles is a tactic that kills the game

Nani is soft, got a shit reputation for diving, etc.

Pepe is a cockhead, got a shit reputation for being a dirty cunt.
