A bit disappointing with the lack of information on the FFSA web site. Our State has a team going to Canberra to represent us all, playing against the other States to show off South Australia's U13 talent from our girls leagues, and very few people in SA know about it.

I hope that our Sports Minister knows.

The world game needs every bit of advertising it can get, to build the brand image in Australia.

Good luck to all the players -

At least one familiar name in the goalscorers for SA

Not a bad start.

Only the bare minimum on the FFSA site, scores only- complete match summaries available on the capital football (ACT) site- Girls could finish as high as third, depending on tomorrow's results. someone's doing a great job with the match summaries on the ACT site- well done!!

Not a lot of goals scored in the Championship overall, not sure what the duration of a game was. However 3 draws and a 1nil loss to the tournament champions NSW Metro, saw the SA team very competitive. Plus the win in a non championship game seems a very good result for the team overall. Well Done to the girls.

Great to see 3 girls in all Stars - well done girls.

Over-all though a pretty disappointing result. Coming bottom of the league can’t be good for SA. The only game we won was a non-competitive one against Country Vic (the poorest team in the B league along with Tasie).

Some of SA’s best strikers/midfielders seemed to be put in defence while those put up front couldn’t seem to score. All very odd…

Still, all the girls seemed to enjoy themselves so that keeps the parents happy.

They only lost one game and drew all the rest... Doesnt seem that bad IMO... Girls didn't get pumped score wise and from what I hear the emerging talent coming through these days is very positive...

Let's remember that SA has never been very strong at the National Competition for a long time now over all age groups... Back in the day our state team used to get ripped apart by Qld, NSW, Vic, WA - well everyone except NT and maybe ACT on one of our good days lol!!

Congrats should def. go to all players and coaches etc in the SA team :P

Sounds like the competition was well run and the person doing the write ups (Russell?) I thought did excellent.. Updated almost instantly after the game with photos... Nice job Capital Football!

No disrespect but the SA result is nothing special at all...they just got what SA teams normally get or even less.
They were in the B league and just manage to go with the flow.
How can this be a "good result"?
I heard the SA technical director was personally involved but I must say it wasn't very impressive...
Good to know the girls enjoyed themselves...but who doesn't enjoy a state trip? :o

Easy Tiger, you realise a team from your so called B league were National Champions, and SA lost 1 nil to them and drew with every other team in their Pool A division. So you are being a bit harsh are you not.

And Ginger, I don't think National Championships are held to make parents happy.

Yeah it came out a bit harsh I spouse....Like I said I don't mean to disrespect anybody. Just saying in the past other SA teams did the same things or even better and I don't see anything impressive in these results. But then, I wasn't at the games so...

Beaches, I think you missed the irony in the comment.

Many of the parents were indeed most unhappy, but feel there is little point in saying anything as the tournament has been and gone. Their daughters still have to carry on as part of the skillaroos, so no-one wants to jepodise their place in the squad.

Same old story.... nothing has changed since I was playing 15 years ago.

Some people have spoken about issues, and there is more to follow. One club has some questions it would like answered about the development pathways, communication, etc of all State and Development processes.
