Call it what you like, it happens every year during the STICs. The FFSA need to take a good look at the coaches they are appointing this season and make sure there is no vested interests at stake. Eg STIC Coaches should be appointed to a different Zone or at least to a different age group to that of their own club team. Nor should STIC Coaches be able to coach a team where there own lad is gonna be selected.

I've been involved in 3 STIC tournaments, yes there has been STIC coaches attempting to "poach" players but it's a small percentage. Most coaches are too busy coaching.
There are more parents and parent-coaches that have their son in a STIC team that talk to other parents during training sessions and the tournament about moving clubs. This I have seen many times, there's not much that can be done other than to explain to parents and players "if your happy where you are, stay there".
I've heard there may be some games this week ie V Campbelltown U/15 on Wednesday night and another for Thursday night V Modbury U/15.....YES or No.. anyone else heard anything.

u14s last year had 5 players in the stic and have been at the club before they even played in the zone championships, most of those players have now left.
cant give you an answer regarding the 13s, u might be right or u might be wrong....
whats the point its not going to make a difference....
the thing thats probably worse though are coaches that dont nominate the players that deserve to be nominated because theyre scared of losing them for the next season because some coach will notice their potential and try to convince them to move....

If I had a son where this happened, I would take my son away from that coach and club straight away anyway............ so that coach is not the brightest spark for doing this......

Not involved in any way whatsoever but just been reading through all the posts. The losses that have inflicted on this state squad look like being inconsequential because by the time they finally get around to picking a final squad i think they will be overage anyway.
