or was it just purple haze? i cant quite remember ...can you maxi?
good to see the old fellas still doing a few laps and every pre-season brings new optimism but the numbers are definately there this year so should be a good year.
I hear we got the annual Pontians game on friday night? care to join me maxi
yeah mate, i'll be there friday night watching our boys
has been a good pre-season so far. lots of numbers out to every training and some new boys to add to the mix
Murray Park - those were the days. The club has moved on to become bigger and better, but there was something about the club back then. i kinda miss it
Frustrating game to watch yesterday boys. I wouldnt be happy with a 2-2 draw when you consider each time we scored to go ahead we literally conceeded straight away. I dont know if it was due to bad defending, or just a very bad lack of concentration but either way, whilst i take my hat off to BOSNA for their fighting and never say die attitude, they are not a team that should of troubled RAPTORS by any stretch of the imagination. The little number 2 in the middle for BOSNA was allowed to run freely for the best part of 75% of the game, but more worryingly for the RAPTORS, was all the very good ball playing football they played in the preseason seemed to have deserted them when it really counted and when they needed to really be accountable, in the season proper. Of course, with half a dozen or so 1st team regulars out through injury/suspension still to come back, there was more than a good enough team on the park yesterday to have taken maximum points. Some of you boys need to get back to the basics of the game. Some of the descision making yesterday was less than acceptable and throughout the game, constant long balls to nowhere and a disrespect for holding your formation allowed the opposition to always feel they were in with a chance of grabbing something out of this game when they never should of. Of course its only Round 1 and RAPTORS could still go on and do wonderful things but they traditionally are the games you look back on at the end of a season and say to yourself "if only we'd never messed up that game in rounds 1 and 4" etc etc Hopefully the boys can get it together very quickly because the next couple of weeks are not going to be easy at all. Welldone to the referee who took command from the start to the end with a sensible approach and must applaud the BOSNA crowd also, brilliantly supported both vocaly and with numbers and there is no doubt that their players gain that extra motivation from them, BRAVO

Is there a game that JM plays in that doesnt see him gain some sort of injury??? Shouldnt laugh actually, he copped a nasty gash to the head that i reckon may have required either a couple of stitches or some of that Doctors wonder super glue, but JM is a soldier and testament to his character, he came off for 5, got bandaged up and went straight back on with no hesitations or complaints. Even with the unfortunate injuries he collects, id have 5 of him in my side an day of the week. Great person, great brain for the game and a great inspiration to other players

I sometimes think about how, sometimes, red cards early in important matches can ultimately cost you promotion.

And let me tell you that this supporter you talk about was ropable he did go back on and most likely hates me for im the one that helped bandage him up Of course, it was his call and he felt no ill effect from the bump other than what we could see and he showed no ill effects after taking to the park again and was probably one of Raptors best for the day

As much as your left wingers cost you when they decide to take on the same player 3 times when they passed him the first time with an open goal at ones mercy

Yea put on a bit of weight since moving to the oval ball... but unlike yourself, its not all around the stomach area
Haven't lost any speed... probably even quicker, just lost a bit of agility, thus I doubt I could take on 5 Knight players a time and score, like the old days.

the hapless knights players were chasing shadows

I bet they have!!! Be careful what you wish for though Knight7, I may be a couple years older and a few kilos heavier but I can still outrun and outsmart most of your teammates I suspect. Of course, all the whilst entertaining your supporters
