Saturday Premier Divison Results Round 1

Post by blind_spot »

B's Salisbury Villa 2-2 Allstars Utd
A's Salisbury Villa 2-2 Allstars Utd

In both games Villa went 2-0 up, but credit to the boys for getting back into the games and getting a result. Really hard, fair and tough games just as we expected it to be in Div 1. Happy with the results :)There were also 3 red cards shown in both games with 1 each for the A's and 1 sent of late in the first half for Allstars Utd. This makes the reserves draw even sweeter as they played with 10 man for the whole second half.

One match doesn't make a season. The winner was only scored right at the death.

Have the Sturt Marion boys been weakened by the introdution of Sturt Lions to the FFSA State Leage whom beat Gawler today?

I thought Sturt were poor for most of the match - their goal was against the run of play, but a good one none the less. Bosa were wasteful and dominated possession, probably coulda had more if JT wasn't so rusty... Sturt really don't know how to use Banga up front!

Apparently Sturt Marion are pretty unaffected by Sturt Lions 'entity'. 2 good lads from last year went to USC Lion for different reasons.

BOSA did well for their win, but don't quite agree with Off The Ball. Sturt started well enough and could have been up 2-0 early on, but BOSA did boss either side of half-time and looked assured. Sturt got back to 2-1, made it scrappy, frantic last 20 mins, but BOSA did the job (keeper did well for them).

BOSA look a good outfit, more to come from the Thunder when key players get back/fit.
